John Legend’s fifth solo LP, Darkness and Light, is set to arrive in December. Fresh off debuting its lead single “Love Me Now” last week, the Grammy Award-winning singer appeared on Ellen this week to perform the song for the first-time.

The proud father sat down with Ellen DeGeneres to also discuss his 6-month-old daughter Luna, his wife Chrissy Teigen, supporting Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign, and working with Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone on the movie La La Land.
