lol when i watch this i can’t stop thinkin about that Nas line from “ether”: ” all i did was give you a style to run with…” Jigga saw how Big and Nas was rhyming all slow, i think it also made an impact on him changing his style, i always said it

Jigga studied the game and mastered it

Not quite, dear boy.
With Tupac Shakur and the Christophers (Wallace and Rios) out of the way, it was very easy to be positioned when there wasn’t any other charismatic and talented MCs to be taken serious. Nas couldv’ve did it but, obviously he ain’t do it yet so…somebody had to.

This dude needs to go sit somewhere and stop talking about when you was nine.
That’s 30 years ago…AT LEAST!
He needs to drop that J.cole, that’s what he needs to do.

^^^^^^^
TRUTH!

This is patently false. You could name 10 other dudes just from Brooklyn that were just as charismatic and (arguably) even more talented than Jay after Big and Pac passed.
Mos Def springing to mind immediately.

Ya’ll niggaz are silly and trivial yo ..We should applaud that guy for growing as an Artist and Man . Not many rappers and brothers from where we’re from have stood the test of time on the streets as well as the rap game.

Oh brother! Jay and his same old tired, Marcy projects story. His life story is so boring and typical. He was a two-bit drug dealer who became a rapper, no label even wanted him, that’s why Dame Dash went hard to create Roc-a-fella. Jay is the man because he is mainstream and the White people love him for his money, not his music. Nas is and always will be the better emcee. Nas has been doing his thing as an artist not a business label head, owner of a clothing line, or trying to jump on whatever is hot at the time to be popular. Jay is so boring!
