Blue-eyed soul singer Jared Evan, Brooklyn-bred lyricist Skyzoo and veteran producer !llmind have come together for this new joint, “Pulp Fiction,” and the result is as deadly as when Marvin got his brains blown out in the backseat. The collaboration isn’t a beat ’em up banger, though; it’s an old fashioned heartbreak song in which Jared compares his emotional pain to the gory scenes from Tarantino’s classic. Skyzoo’s guest verse is sharp and thoughtful as always, while !llmind’s beat straight knocks.

All three have put out some pretty solid projects lately: check out Jared’s Pieces EP, !llmind’s #BoomTrap instrumentals, and Sky’s cinematic rework of Jay Z’s debut album, An Ode to Reasonable Doubt.
