Track List
1. Like A Star- Was saving this for the 2nd album. Due to some other shit beyond my control, I’ma let this out now.
2. Knock On Wood- One of my fav. freestyles. OG Dreamvillains gotta be reminded, new fans gotta get put on.
3. Pity- Brand new J. Cole, Omen, Voli. Produced by Voli @volitheentity
4. How High- at one point this was guaranteed to go on The Sideline Story.
5. Unabomber- Just heard this today for the first time in a longgg time. Love these raps.
Every Sunday til the album drops I’ll be back with something. Maybe just 1 song, maybe a video, depending on how I’m feeling.

So since Jay is too blame for an artists downfall than why isn’t he praised for artists that are associated with him and do well. I.E. Rhianna and Ne-yo?
So far I’m seeing J Cole everywhere and frankly I can’t wait for his album to drop.

I don’t understand what the track is about where he is just mumbling instead of spitting, seems a bit strange…
Nothing that stands out tbh, he NEEDS some features for some exposure.

I liked this tape. At what point do the fans question his album though…seems inevitable. Makes you wonder why doesn’t he just use the same recipe he does in mixtapes for album prep and strategy. I forget it is a business sometimes and politics run rampid through labels.

The problem is in this microwave oven world we live in mufuckas don’t have patience anymore. Cats used to have to do a little thing called “paying dues”. Some of your favorite rappers and cats you call legends were in the background for years before they got really on. Now dudes making shit in their bedroom thinking they ready to take over the world but have no artist development so if the zillion to 1 chance their stuff pops shit will prolly be 1 & done…”..you won’t be around next year..” *Craig Mack voice* Cole is doin plenty of touring, building that fan base, throw a joint out here and there to keep you thinking about him, features & sh!t..dudes don’t be prepared for the business and end up a footnote. Believe me when its time for Cole to drop you gonna get tired of seeing him. But trust he’s gonna be 1 of the most prepared debut artists.

J Cole’s music is not meant for mass consumption.
But he’ll still be alright since real artists don’t make money off record sales, they make money from live performances.
Jay can’t do more than what he’s already doing. The market for J Cole’s music is not as wide as people may think.
