J. Cole has been the talk on social media the past 24 hours. On Thursday (Dec. 1) it leaked that the North Carolina MC will be dropping a new album titled 4 Your Eyez Only on December 9. The excitement only continued to grow shortly after midnight on Friday (Dec. 2), when Cole World released a new 40-minute documentary Eyez, revolving around the making of 4 Your Eyez Only before it arrives next week.

At the 30:40 mark of the documentary released exclusively on TIDAL, a music video for a song called “False Prophets” plays, where in the first verse J. Cole appears to take aim at Kanye West.

Continue after the jump….

You lose your grip you could slip into an abyss. No doubt, you see these ni**as trippin,” raps Cole, who doesn’t call the unknown person by name but various references strongly suggest Kanye is the subject of the verse.

Ego in charge of every move, he’s a star/ And we can’t look away due to the days when he caught our hearts. He’s falling apart but we deny it/ Just to find the half-assed shit he drop, we always buy it.”

J. Cole continues, “When he tell us he a genius but it’s clearer lately/ It’s been hard for him to look into the mirror lately. There was a time when this ni**a was my hero maybe/ That’s why his fall from grace is hard to take. Cause I believed him when he said his shit was purer and he the type of nigga swear he real but all around is fake.

The Dreamvillain also questioned Kanye’s circle rapping, “The women, the dickriders, you know, the yes men/ Nobody with the balls to say something to contest him. So it grows out of control/ Until the person that he truly was all along is starting to show.”

At one point, J. Cole also touches on rappers who don’t write their rhymes, “Wonder if it’s my fault for idolizing ni**as’ words that they be rappin
But come to find out these ni**as, they don’t even write they own shit
.”

Cole would close the song saying, “Here’s a new style bubblin’ up then they bite that shit, damn. That’s what I get for lyin’ to myself. Well fuck it, what’s more important is that he’s cryin out for help. While the world’s eggin him on, I’m beggin him to stop it. Playin’ his old shit, knowin’ he ain’t top it….false prophets.”
