New Music: Iggy Azalea Feat. Sukhwinder Sing “Million Dollar Dream”
Posted by Andy B. under New Music[2] Comments

Iggy Azalea may have caught flak for her Indian-themed “Bounce” video, which some felt was a leap too far into cultural appropriation, but it hasn’t lost her the respect of a certain Bollywood legend. For this new song, “Million Dollar Dream,” the Aussie rapper has teamed up with award-winning composer A.R. Rahman, who scored the music for films like Slumdog Millionaire and 127 Hours, as well as countless Bollywood hits.
The track, which also features vocals from Punjabi singer Sukhwinder Singh, is taken from the soundtrack to the upcoming Disney movie Million Dollar Arm (starring Mad Men‘s Jon Hamm), which hits theaters on May 16.

this is the meaning of BAP RAP! there is no strand of hip hop or tradition evident in this music. thanks Walt Disney for showing us how detached from the culture you are and attempting to show some sign of assimilation even if it is simply a ploy to get young listeners to watch an evident ploy to get more indian-american viewers to the theater because you want that slum dog money. I respect it
