So… I think the story of this show is gonna be Usher vs Trey Songz. Usher’s catalog vs. Trey’s treasure trail. Both got bedrockers, but traditionally, Summer Jam slaughters the slow jams…it’s all about uptempo. So, “Say Ahh” vs. “Love in the Club”?

Another interesting note: Gucci Mane is on the lineup even though he’s currently still locked up in Fulton County Jail. During the announcement, Angie revealed that Gucci gets out of jail on Wednesday, May 12. For details, we’ll await Gucci’s own press release. (Update: SusanBlond Inc. issued a statement. Excerpt after the jump)

Now everyone has been wondering if there will be a Dipset reunion at Summerjam. With Juelz on the line-up, it seems like a possibility but, while Jimmy and Cam made their truce public over the weekend at Band of Ballers, the status of Juelz Santana in the whole dynamic is up in the air. So I’m not sure about it.

Who do you think should close?

Details about Gucci’s business developments…after the jump

Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane has officially parted ways with his former management company Mizay Entertainment and booking agency Hitt Afta Hitt Enterprises…

Gucci has closed down his So Icey Entertainment imprint and is now the President and CEO of 1017 Brick Squad Records Inc.

The artists on the new label are Wacka Flocka Flame, OJ Da Juiceman, Bricksquad (Wacka, OJ and Gucci) and Gucci Mane himself.

The rapper has entered into an exclusive management deal with First Avenue Management, while CAA will now handle the booking of his shows.

He also named David Bolno, Managing Director at Nigro, Karlin, Segal & Feldstein as his new his new business manager. (AllHipHop)

This creates an interesting situation since Waka Flocka is still down with Gucci Mane and is part of Gucci’s 1017 Brick Squad label. But Waka will still be managed by his mom, Deb Antney, whose was ties with Gucci were severed while he was in jail.
