Genius Moment….Pimp C drops jewels “I know you aint sold no dope!”
Posted by Miss Info under Uncategorized[56] Comments
thank you to my homie FWMJ for making me listen to this. I got the link earlier but I kinda brushed it off…..Pimp C from the legendary UGK calling up an Atlanta radio station and screaming on the whole rap game? I thought it could wait. But I was so wrong. This made my day. No…my week.
I’m not saying that I agree with all of Pimp C’s life choices but I definitely respect his position, and well, this call is just entertaining. I’ll pick my favorite parts after work but for now…
Just click here to listen to the call.
And these are some of the quotes that Pimp C made about Jeezy, Russell Simmons, Neyo, and others that folks in Atlanta were so mad about.
On Mike Jones and Lil Flip’s jewelry: “Them big ol’ plates they be wearing that look like dinner plates? Them diamonds are monkey. You need to take that monkey sh*t back cause you embarrassing us.” On Young Jeezy: “Muthafuc**rs talking about they’ve got kilos for $17,500. B*tch, ain’t no kilos for $17,500 up there, and you know what I’m talking about. Come to Houston and get the work and pop it cause we’re right there by San Antonio and we’re going down there and gettin’ the work. And guess what, man. All y’all ni**as talking about selling dope? If y’all ni**as was some d-boys, guess what, man? I don’t believe you ni**as no more cause I’m seeing you ni**as in button up shirts getting cute and pretty trying to look sexy. Ni**a, f*ck you. Ni**a, and I ain’t gotta say your name. Play with me and I’ll expose the ni**as that was wearing backpacks with their pant leg rolled up back then in Atlanta when me and Big Meech used to be off in the club kickin’ it buying each other champagne.”
On Russell Simmons: “I just made peace with the lil ni**a Short Dawg cause on the cool, it really wasn’t his fault. It was ol’ d*ck-in-the-booty Russell Simmons fault for not taking the message back to him and telling him to change his name. Yeah, I said ‘d*ck-in-the-booty.’ I know what I’m talking about. B*tch, I’ll air you out too.”
On Ne-Yo: “I ain’t out here dressing up trying to be sexy licking my lips like old gay a** Ne-Yo. Licking lips and sh*it, ni**a. P*ssy d*ck in the booty a*s ni**a wearing all that gotda*n lip gloss at their video shoots and letting ni**as put makeup on their face. Yeah, I said Ne-Yo, you heard what the f*ck I said. Ni**as putting all that lip gloss on they f**kin’ lips looking like they’ve just been eating a pork chop sandwich with no hands.”

What neyo did to this grumpy bold man for him to call him out like that.bun b is theintelligent one in this group anyway. Wow news flash most rappers didn’t do what they spoke about.
July 24th, 2007 at 11:56 pm
Pimp C on…Young Jeezy?:
“Muthafuckers talking about they’ve got kilos for $17,500. Bitch, ain’t no kilos for $17,500 up there, and you know what I’m talking about. Come to Houston and get the work and pop it cause we’re right there by San Antonio and we’re going down there and gettin’ the work. And guess what, man. All y’all niggas talking about selling dope? If y’all niggas was some d-boys, guess what, man? I don’t believe you niggas no more cause I’m seeing you niggas in button up shirts getting cute and pretty trying to look sexy. Nigga, fuck you. Nigga, and I ain’t gotta say your name. Play with me and I’ll expose the niggas that was wearing backpacks with their pant leg rolled up back then in Atlanta when me and Big Meech used to be off in the club kickin’ it buying each other champagne.”
Pimp C on Atlanta:
“Atlanta is not the South. Atlanta is not the South, gotdamn it, when you go to Atlanta what does your clock say? When you get off the plane from Los Angeles or Texas, what time do it be over there? Atlanta is East Coast time. You niggas ain’t in the South.”

July 25th, 2007 at 1:08 am
I can’t stand Pimp c but he had a point.I don’t know why neyo got some of that hate but hey he was right. I been waiting a minute for someone to say something. In every down south video i see a rapper always wearing a big chain , driving fancy cars and flashing alot of money in their hand. I understand people are getting money these days …more power to them. But where did all that shit come from? Cause i know by just looking at them that ain’t or was never selling no drugs. They look too soft , you can tell when a nigga is fresh off the block. It strange these days…rememeber when rappers used to take pride in being broke.Like they would say in interviews that ” I came from the bottom”. It like these days people just skip the fact that they used to live in hood .Magically woke up one day and became rich.It getting so bad when these rappers try to make deep songs about their lives. It is hard to believe them . You don’t go from the bodeaga to eatting at fancy restuatant in a week.Trust me i been there you got alot more to worry about other then making self look good in the beginning. Most of these rappers are miseducating these kids about the game.I look at the corner now and it looks like a fashion show. Why would you dress all fly while your selling drugs? If your not trying to be notice by police. The game is all fucked up these OG’s need to start schooling these little niggaz about that lifestyle before it too late.
July 25th, 2007 at 1:28 am
Preeeeeeeeeeeach Pimp, preeeeeeeeach. I mean EVERYTHING he said was valid EXCEPT for the Atlanta not being part of the south. That was just dumb. But listen man, i’m from NY and been listening to UGK for like the last 5 years and I always liked the way Pimp approached his verses. Cause he’s not the most lyrical but he’s truthful and his swag is astronomical. He’s right about all these cornballs thinking they was Pablo Escobar b4 rap. NEWSFLASH!!! If u really made that much money off of drugs u wouldn’t need rap and secondly u would never talk about.
Another thing…..He’s right about Meech cause all the evidence is circumstantial. One thing tho I feel like BMF (not saying they ever did anythign illegal) but they should of never got too friendly with these rapper types. All a rapper can do is make u hot and get u extra FED attention. All them smack DVD’s and being in ppl videos they shoulda never have done it. Real don’t mix with fake and the ENTIRE RAP INDUSTRY IS FAKE. It’s all smoke and mirrors.
July 25th, 2007 at 1:33 am
Another thing. I just listened to that Yung Joc song “coffee shop”…I mean I really listened to it. This jackass is talking about selling drugs the whole song and he got lil kids singin the hook and making it sound like he’s literally talking about a damn coffee shop. Sh*t like that is just f*cked up. Cause the only ppl that like yung joc are like 12-14 year olds. Then that homo is gonna say “Kids please don’t sell drugs” at the end of a 3 minute video. I mean u just spent 3 mins telling them to do it and 10 seconds telling them not to. This is why ppl like Pimp get fired up. RAP ABOUT WHAT U HAVE ACTUALLY DONE…I’d rather hear a song about a new dance than a song about some made up dope boy rhymes from some1 who never lived it like they was getting it…preeeeeeeeach.
July 25th, 2007 at 2:11 am
“Ni**as putting all that lip gloss on they f**kin’ lips looking like they’ve just been eating a pork chop sandwich with no hands.”
lmao
July 25th, 2007 at 2:23 am
LoL…just some advice for the kids in the A, don’t ever go at Pimp C. I speak from experience, he’s the meaner half of UGK.
But it was the funniest interview I’ve heard in a minute.
“If you don’t like it, you can eat 3000 wee wee’s and die”
Who thiks of shit like that lmao!
July 25th, 2007 at 3:05 am

July 25th, 2007 at 7:21 am
well this was just real talk and a man’s opinion. u may not like it or agree with it but you have to respect it. im glad that he offended a lot of fake and wack rappers. i cant stand people like young joc and such. people need to wake up and stop facking real talk
July 25th, 2007 at 11:19 am
I usually try not to laugh at the ignorant stuff but…. lmaooo
July 25th, 2007 at 11:56 am
Ne-Yo just got outted lol
July 25th, 2007 at 12:17 pm
Funny as hell.
You know I ain’t from USA ’cause I’m French but I assumed that A-Town was in the south!! Otherwise, I think Pimp C said the truth about corny ass rappers but not necessary the (whole) good rappers and C gotta give Mike Jones his props for putting Texas in the mainstream map.
July 25th, 2007 at 3:15 pm
well why is pimp c worried about other people? it’s not like he’s saying anything worth listening to on the mic anyway. come on now, is this jealousy i smell on the tip of the nose or what? the funny thing is, he outed everybody who is relevant in the music business (minus mike jones).
July 25th, 2007 at 3:30 pm
man I would never take pride in being broke after growing up broke…it fuckin sucks, what i would take pride in is being up to wake up in the morning while having no money….thats somin to have pride in….in regards to this interview with pimp C he mighta had some real shit to say but I don’t think it was a good idea for him to hate on ATL like that…and lets be real ppl how u gonna be hate on someone wearing jewelery, I see white boys with some retarded ass necklesses on all the time but i don’t be hatin i see the surfer niggas wherein’em too…hating on what ppl have is getting old…
July 25th, 2007 at 4:47 pm

The only thing that is getting old is your halfass comments.Oh yeah, I saw your fucking comment on the 50 dicussion… YOU SAID NOTHING.Remember this if you don’t remember nothing else “If you don’t stand for something , You will fall for anything”. So that live and let die attitude you got doesn’t apply to real men like you me … YOU WORTHLESS PIECE OF SHIT (I’M DONE)

July 25th, 2007 at 6:38 pm
lol, he made some good points, A lot of these rappers: young Jezzey, TI, Lil wayne, none of them really kno what their talking about when they talk about crack and coke…they just make that stuff up to sell records then go back to there cushy homes in the burbs..but, now that I mention it…I bet pimp c does the same things..lol
July 25th, 2007 at 6:59 pm
to add to this…didn’t Pimp C just do a song wit jeezy t.i. and buck for buck the world!!…..this interview is weak after i just realized that…what happened to that Southern Unity…thats what made the south good
July 25th, 2007 at 7:07 pm
Nigga please here we go. Playing that denial shit whatever. I got a number you can call also 1-800 Lic a Dic .Fuck outta here e-thug my ass.Somehow ,some way you work at a computer for a job…yeah right i really do believe you…NOT.Yawn nigga yawn save the excuses punk.I don’t wanna hear how you spam online.Get a real job and shut the fuck up.Anyways before this goes any further i will be the bigger MAN and stop now.
July 25th, 2007 at 9:05 pm
Truthfully…There was never any real Southern Unity…Just like there wasnt ever any real East Coast Unity…It’s a money thing…thats whats unfortunate when u mix arts with business…people forget the beauty of aesthetics and start thinking about the bottom line: the dollar. Yeah it sounds cliché-ed but you have to look at it the way it is.
Does anyone remember the how tight people seem to be on the East Coast? I mean just before the turn of the century…You looked at Def Jam when Lyor was heading it and you had a powerhouse over there. You had Jay, DMX, Onyx, the Def Squad, Method Man, LL, Ja Rule..man EPMD even released hot sht…There seemed to be this tight bond between all of them (Remember the movie Backstage?)…Shit, I’ll taken even deeper…I never forgot this line Jay-z had in the song “Dope Man”…it said something along the lines of “Murder Inc. theyve been established as a darker deeper criminal link”..Jigga giving props to his man Irv? But then what happened? They all got money…they all started doing really well for themselves…And now look at them all…No one is tight…not a single one of them…True colors came out.
Same goes for the South…The South has its good acts…I dont even need to name them…cuz I might miss some (since theres a new group popping out by the minute)…And everyone on the South used to scream out..”New York is mad cuz we gettin money over here! We stick together and we gettin paid! etc..”…Maybe…but look at it now? Shit is slowly but surely falling apart…People are slowly starting to show their true feelings…Ludacris is beefing with T.I (vice versa)…Jeezy had his issues too…Weezy is cocky as hell..God knows who hes gonna diss next..Mike Jones aint gettin no love anymore (faded)…Now Pimp C..one of the originators of Southern hip hop is airing out dudes left and right…Some might be pissed at what hes saying…but hes probably saying shit that many people are feeling…You guys said it yourself..some of the people he’s dissing..he’s been on songs with..So that just goes to show you ..All these guys used to not get money, now theyre paid and they have this “fuck you, I dont need you” mentality…you throw some money at these rappers and they forget their roots…
This is a long ass post…but I think people will feel me on this one. Sorry MissInfo…
Hip hop isnt dead…its been buried alive.
July 25th, 2007 at 9:32 pm

July 25th, 2007 at 9:37 pm
Finally the dirty south era is coming to an end just like no Limit it had to go. As for the rappers in Atl there all fake I live in the A I know T.I. or Tip is from Riverdale, he went to Riverdale High School. Bank Head is about 30 minutes away without traffic, As for Jezzy He lived back and forth from Atl to Macon Small time hustler word is he would always get his wig pushed back (no hand skills). Mr. Young Joc also from Riverdale was a nobody he worked for a street team or something like that. Big Block CEO Bad Boy South) is paying people to hang with this dude to build his credibility. That’s what really going down.
July 25th, 2007 at 10:20 pm
hahahaa chuuuuuuuuuuuuurch
Pimp C is the fuckin TRUTH. the only thing that wasn’t accurate was that atlanta (georgia) isn’t in the south. (then u might as well say texas is in the west)

July 25th, 2007 at 11:33 pm
Prov aw ain’t that cute you still think you be better then me.It is cute to dream… but wake the fuck up . You work around computer at a dead end desk job probably.Hitting your golden years looking at the cieling still saying the same shit “i’ll be the even bigger man and be more successful in life then you”.Face it your a little loser in denial with low self esteem. The “let me know” comment was for you to stop hiding words like “Surfer Niggas” ,”E-Thugs and say what you have to say. So was i looking for a fight…NAW that would be too easy to kick your ass.I don’t play that internet thugging shit . But you like to hide behind words and talks in fucking cricle. July 26th, 2007 at 3:39 am
Finally somebody speaks their mind. Pimp c is soo right.
July 26th, 2007 at 4:19 am
@ Pablo
T.I. And Luda have been going at each other for years, nothing new there.
I won’t say this is the beginning of the end for the South. Most of the artists you mentioned are all on diiferent labels and don’t have to compete with each other for marketing budgets unlike Def Jam around the turn of the century. Everyone down south (at least the major artists) let Lil Wanye talk that “best rapper alive” bullshit. In NO way am I fan of Weezy but he’s got the hype going right now. Listen to Luda’s, Chamillionaire’s or Lil Flips XM shows and Weezy is played heavily, if they had issues, Wanye wouldn’t be getting play like that. Weezy’s on T.I’s latest. Mannie Fresh is back working with Wayne, so anything is possible. Chamillionaire said he’d be open to working with Paul Wall after a few years of issues. In the end money talks. Just because Pimp C has issues with some artists doesn’t mean anything, like he said opinions are like assholes, everyone has one.
UGK has been getting pushed back for months, the original release date was some time in April. Funny how this so called “dissing” is happening now when the album is about to finally drop. Pimp contradicts himself throughout that whole interview.
July 26th, 2007 at 11:57 am
@ pablo p….now that u say that i see what ya mean interms of that Unity thing…well said. its sad that money does that too the average human being but what can ya do about it. the necessity for money only increases, but wages don’t keep up within the countries inflation…didn’t the US just raise their national min wage from 5.15 to 5.85 like 2 days ago lolol, and they wonder why they’re so many drug dealers and bootleggers under the age of 19.
@ poet…i must really got u stressin over there about me lol…like a said homie you don’t know shit about me, shit about my job (i guareentee u i’m cashin more money then u and thats just from my summer office job lol). but thats not really important…and yeah i am about to hit my golden years soon if thats a metaphor and gold means stacks of cash lol, 11 more months i’ll be 23 and still more successful then you. maybe you should go to school. Get yourself some education. If you dont believe you were being an E thug i bet you at least 5 other ppl who read ur posts thought u were lol and did u just commented about my mom?? wow i didn’t know ppl still did that, but hey ur all about that ol skool shit eh, an ol skool nigga wit some ol skool insults lol, ur the worst kind of stan I have had in a long time, but its great to go back and forth with someone. thanks for bringing some excitement to the net for me…its so boring some times haha
July 26th, 2007 at 1:37 pm
@Micheal (Post number 38)
I want to make it clear that Im not looking forward to the demise of the South..in my opinion anything that keeps hip hop going is good for the culture we all grew up on, whether the quality is always on par is another issue…there’s always transition stages…it gets rid of the bad blood and makes way for substance.
Which brings me to Pimp C’s point about substance…let’s be 100% honest here. UGK Album promotion or not…a good point is still a good point no matter the intent behind it or the source. And this is not an attack…This is just to make sense of it all…But Who on the South is saying anything that has substance and SELLING? Who? Little Brother,Scarface, Outkast (Dungeon Fam inclusive)..None of these guys are selling..And these guys basically put the South on the map (for the exception of Little Brother who is still relatively new)..So who else? Im not attacking the South…But seriously, someone needs to tell me so I dont sound like an idiot. Name some names and I’ll gladly Limewire the artists you mention (for sampling purposes only of course. yeah)… The world knows about Bank Head like they know about Marcy…or Decartur like they know about Queensbridge…But then what?
In theory, the South should have so much more too say…Historically, its the last spot in the states to have segragation and slavery…And Im talkin about not too long ago either…Yet..All Im hearing about is the trap…and slabs…and grills…There’s room for all of that…but why arent these other groups getting love like they used to? Can Goodie Mob pack a house? Sht I dont even know if Outkast can still pack an arena? Again, drawing a parallel with the East, because this isnt a South-bashing post…..But can Public Enemy pack an arena? Or Mos Def? Or Tribe? Man, you could bring the old Rawkus roster back…I mean all of them back to do a major tour..and I bet you, you still couldnt pack an Arena.
My point is this: the South has the mic right now. Everyone’s listening to the South, everyone is ready to follow the South, and most people is down with the South (pun intended) so this would be an opportune time for the South to say some sht…And support it…Yet it’s not the case…

cO*sIGN…Streetpoet
Mayne videos are overrated…and overdone..overly enhanced. Most real singers dont even make videos for the simple fact they dont want to appear phony and mediocre..95% of the videos out now are phony. All—-i’ll say 90% of these rappers out not are flashin money..and its hilarious because it would be dudes first song and already in the video he has 5chains a grill, 100,000.00 dollar carz. Sh!t aint true..its fake but its funny nowadays almost every rapper grew up the same..b4 most rappers had they own story, which seperated many rappers. Now, shhh you get confused on whom you listenin to and you also already know what dude is going to be rappin about. Nas was only havin a premonition when he said Hip Hop was dead…..on the other hand its dyin…too many phonys abusin the art..nobody is in it to make good music…just bullshh one hit azz songs grab the doe and flash it in peoples faces, that helped place they mulah in the hands..thats why theres going to alwayz be bootleggers…downloading off the internet…and other wayz other then buyin cds to put into these celebs pocket so that they can throw it in our face call us broke and charge the shh out of concert ticket..bullshh!! ya girl only will support those who not in it just for the money…who dont care to brag, flash or act as if there God themselves. Shhz funny.
July 26th, 2007 at 5:38 pm
all of these black rappers and singers…diss the hell out of each other over bullshh..its like foo get money…thats what you in it for anywayz>? Naw’I’Mean? They doin exactly what white america wants us to do..destroy each other..its extremely sad..Pimp C talkin trash about dudes cause he mad he locked up..theres alot of anger comin through those words he spit….all most these rappers do is talk about how much they’re better than you, yo mama, daddy and grandma…and then in 2 months you dont even remeber rapperz name? lmao. thats how quick dudes fell off the f*ckin map.. anywayz HipHop is so lame right now, its not even funny..theres no words for the state of hiphop now…well yea it is…one word…COMMERCIAL.
July 26th, 2007 at 10:19 pm
Yeah laclady it is true white america wants us to destory eachother it goes back to those good ol jim crow days.We continue time after time to prove that the same method works.Give us money what we do? all these things; the promotion of thug antics, gaudy accessories & excessive lifestyles lacking substance in our music; are what happens when corporate interests control shit. Plain & simple the music industry bosses (old, rich, white men) won’t allow their employees, rappers/r&b “artists” to push anything that might hurt their bottom line. miss info, you know this, all we hear is bullshit tunes on the station you work in, the same 5 songs all day. I remember when kids who wasn’t black/latino fronted on rap music–it wasn’t that long ago. The industry saw it’s potential & weakened it’s substance. It’s how the status quo kills anything it fears, annihilate it or co-opt it. Sadly they exploit our music, even more sad is te fact that we go along with it. Big up the artist formerly known as (Prince)… support your local backpack mc…that is until he signs his soul away to a major.

@ Pablo
You’re right with your substance stance on Southern rap right now but I’d add majority of popular rap is lacking a lot of positive substance. The thing I find ironic is Pimp C talks about pimpin, there isn’t substance in that and has recent songs referring to the dope game that don’t talk about the negative side of things. It’s like the Pot calling the Kettle “black” All the rappers he was referring to grew up on UGK. If anything, he’s contributed to the current negative subject matter in southern music much more than he would like to acknowledge. I was listening to Scarface’s “The World is Yours” 1993 cd a couple of weeks ago, the cd is definitely filled with lines about birds, kilos, etc (“I don’t push rocks on the block/ I deal the big dope”) I’ve been down with UGK and Scarface since the early 90’s and will continue to support them.
Killer Mike drops a couple of jewels (“That’s Life”) on the double disk he dropped last year but it’s still full of dope game references.

Not trying to offend anyone just a little lost. I just read pimp c’s interview. Is he trying to say that if you don’t dress like a thug them your not hard or your not hip hop? Why would how you dress determine who you are or wether or not your hard? How old is pimp C because he was like old as hell when I was in High School and that was like 11 years ago. Houston is on Central Standard time there is no such thing as a south time zone so what determines you to be part of the south other than the south is the bottom portion of the US. So does that mean that Fl., half of TN. and the Carolinas are not the south. GA is in the South (bottom) part of the US just like Houston is? So if your going by time zones then he is not in the south either. If you have beef with so many people then why don’t you just tell them personally instead of airing them out that’s real cowardly especially if they didn’t say anything about you. I guess this is why I don’t really listen to rap (with the exception of T.I.) because they have stupid childish beefs.

He was trying to use the time zone to say atlanta is east coast rap i.e. eastern standard not southern standard.

I dunno if i’m allowed to post hear any more lol but i’ll try one more time
@ laclady….hip hop always been about the one rapper being better then the rest…you have to have that mentality in such a competitive industry. and hip hop ain’t the only place you see that happening…but its ok hip hop has been single’d out by white ppl since 25+ years back…now they gettin some of the black ppl in that lil wagon they got going to try and “destroy” black music…but like pimp said in the interview HIP HOP LIVES IN THE STREETS, and it will always be available. what happens when they ban drugs…ppl find ways to get’em….they should stop trying to ban everything thats black, or what they think is black, i.e. drugs.

Along with a CDL, you will need to have a special Tanker endorsement on your license in order to haul this type of trailer.
As cotton is the best fabric, most of these cloths are made of cotton that can absorb any kind of
smell in short time. Similarly, a traveling nurse wouldn’t have enrolled in the field for the sake of earnings or in order to spend lots of time with
families by having to work in shorter shifts.
