Frank Ocean returned to the music scene in a major way last weekend. Along with the release of his Endless visual album, the Grammy Award-winning singer followed that up by giving fans the long-awaited sophomore LP, Blonde. Formerly titled Boys Don’t Cry and available exclusively on Apple Music, Blonde is projected to make a big splash on the album charts next week.

Continue after the jump….

Featuring contributions from Beyoncé, André 3000, Kanye West, Pharrell Williams, Kendrick Lamar, Tyler, the Creator and more, Blonde was first projected by Billboard to sell 225k-250k copies (including streams) opening week.

Hits Daily Double has since updated that number, estimating the album to move 265-290k copies (including streams). That would give Frank Ocean his first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart, as his channel ORANGE LP debuted No. 2 on the charts in 2012.

Ocean has plenty to celebrate about, as evident by a recent post on his Tumblr page. A smiling Frank is seen holding a birthday cake for Blonde, given to him by close friend Tyler, the Creator. “🙂 Birthday cake for Blonde. Thanks Tyler,” says Frank in a message with the picture.
