The numbers are in. As expected, Frank Ocean’s sophomore album Blonde debuts No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart.

Continue after the jump….

Lead by contributions from Beyoncé, André 3000, Kanye West, Pharrell Williams, Kendrick Lamar, James Blake, and Tyler, the Creator, Blonde sold 276,000 units including streams (232,000 traditional album sales) according to Nielsen Music. It becomes Ocean’s first-ever No. 1 album, and the third-largest opening week of 2016 only trailing Drake’s VIEWS and Beyoncé’s LEMONADE.

Available exclusively on Apple Music, Blonde surpasses Frank Ocean’s 2012 debut channel ORANGE, which debuted and peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 album chart with 131,000 copies sold opening week.

Released independently via Ocean’s Boys Don’t Cry imprint, the new album is also making an impact internationally, as Blonde has landed No. 1 in various countries including the U.K. and Australia.
