Flying Lotus and Kendrick Lamar’s “Never Catch Me” will go down as one of the best collaborations of 2014, but that was just one of “12, 13” beats the TDE rapper recorded to, including the You’re Dead! album cut “Eyes Above” (produced by FKA twigs and Niki Randa). Although K. Dot’s verse was removed for “political reasons,” that hasn’t stopped FlyLo from spinning the unreleased version at his recent shows, including last night’s tour stop in San Diego, CA. And yes, we can totally see why he said “‘Eyes Above’ without Kendrick still breaks my heart.” Ours do, too, buddy.
