It’s Raining Diamond-Covered Hublots! Just Ask Rick Ross…and 50 Cent

After all the highs and one particular low in 2011, it’s only right that Rick Ross celebrate his birthday with lots of pomp and circumstance…and famous people…and sparklers! And white satin.
If you weren’t lucky enough to get into Miami’s Club Amnesia to party with Rawse, MMG’s DreFilms put together a slick 6-minute recap of Ross with Styles P, Jadakiss, Wiz Khalifa, Amber Rose, French Montana, Diddy, Sway, my buddy Rahman, Cassie, DJ Khaled and more…
But the highlight was when Dr. Dre gave his new work-bestie a shockingly generous birthday gift: an iced-out Hublot watch!
Which reminded me of another recent token of bromance affection….
Didn’t Floyd Mayweather give 50 Cent that very same watch too?
TWINSIES!
After the jump…
Here’s the watch that Dr. Dre gave Rick Ross at the party….looks like a gorgeous Hublot Big Bang 44mm with a pave diamond face…
And….here’s the photo 50 Cent tweeted after his buddy Floyd Mayweather gave him a watch…just for being him, you know. Kind of looks like a Hublot Big Bang 44mm Gold Pave too, right?
Awkward.
(Is there a run on $50k watches in richguyland?! If so, please sir, may I have one of those sick Masterpiece Key of Time?
But…when are we gonna talk about how 50 feels as Ross and Dre get all buddy buddy? I remember that years ago when Fif first signed to Shady/Aftermath, Dre gave him a very expensive watch too. I think it was Vacheron Constantin? Dr. Dre’s like the Derek Jeter of rap friends.)
Check out DreFilms video recap of Rick Ross’ Birthday Extravaganza:
And a clip of Ross performing at his party:

Pac was clearly right about Benedict Arnold aka Dre. I don’t care how revered he is (despite not actually putting out any relevant music) by Stans, this move is an act of disloyalty that is unforgiveable. 50 put food in Dre’s mouth and his families. For him to publicly try to fan the flames of this is clearly a well calculated move. Ultimately, he can buy whatever he wants for whoever he wants, but that doesn’t change that he’s demonstrating questionable character. I don’t f*ck with Dre like that and haven’t for years since it became obvious he has ‘ghost producers’ doing the actual work attributed to him which is what Pac was saying back during the Death Row days. F*ck Dre!

The ‘Derek Jeter’ part killed me.

You’re forgetting one simple fact; 50 cent is signed to Dre ; Dre isn’t signed to 50 cent. He can do business with whomever he likes if it makes sense to him.If 50 feels a certain way about it; whats the worse he can do ; record a diss song from Mike Tyson’s old crib?

Dre is a grown man and can work with anybody.but i think hes reaching with the tokens of affection.
February 2nd, 2012 at 10:24 am
Dre was not happy w 50 getting into the headphone business. This confirms.
February 2nd, 2012 at 10:27 am
damn Ross is definitely milking the shine off Dre like a typical rap groupie. TIP recorded n hung out with Dre a month ago n we didnt see him on the blogs everyday with a different video or different pic from another angle of Dre lol.
as far as 50 is concerned, I think he really doesnt care for Dre’s actions becuz Dre doesnt control his life, Jimmy Iovine n Eazy E’s wife do! I mean he’s had someones hand up his ass since he’s been in the industry so I figure he’s gotta take what he can get. Im not looking foward to a Dre/Ross collabo after Just Blaze wasted a fine ass beat on Ross

i think its the other way around its more like dr dre put food in 50 cents mouth. dr dre been threw a lot of crazy shit wayy before 50.i think dr dre just wants to end beefs and record with ppl he wants too.and reason y he wasent working with pac like that its because he was a loose connon blameing ll cool j for the who shot ya song saying they was making fun of him wtff lol no body wants too work with ppl like that.yea i said it whatt..it doesnt mean your not hood just because you dont get in the middle of childish ppl acting tuff….and i dont even like rick ross music i dont even listen too him.i like 50 cents music more but its like i think dr dre is older and its only rite that he acts like a father type. “ohh whos side u on lmaoo thats kid shit.

It’s 2012. Why are these rappers getting so excited to be in a recording studio with Dr. Dre. Not like anything is going to cone of. He hasn’t even released HIS album. A project Jimmy has been trying to get him to finish for the last 8 years.
Plus he hasn’t done anything worth mentioning production wise since “Lost Ones”. Y’all have to chill. He’s gonna have Ross rapping over some bullshit. I’m more excited about that vid of Ross and Toomp that surfaced last year. What has come of that?
February 2nd, 2012 at 12:13 pm
i dont really think he would buy someone he never met before a watch for that price and how do they know how much it is and they trying to make it a big deal
more like the label gave it to dre to give to him
this guy is the most untrustworthy person just look at all the other shit his done
dre don’t even do that shit for his own artists
dont believe the hype its smoke and mirrors
February 2nd, 2012 at 12:41 pm
im soooo with u on that one
February 2nd, 2012 at 1:01 pm

February 2nd, 2012 at 1:29 pm
ITS FUNNY HOW A COUPLE YEARS AGO DR DRE FORGOT HOW HIS FACE GOT PUNCHED IN AT THE VIBE AWARDS AND HIS WIFE THROWN TO THE GROUND BY SUGES HOMIES
I WAS THERE TO WITNESS THAT AND THE ONLY RAPPERS THAT KEEP IT 100 WAS 50 AND THE UNIT.A PUNCTURE LUNG AND 16 DAYS EATING HOSPITAL FOOD WASNT ENOUGH FOR DRE TO KNOW WHO HIS REAL FRIENDS ARE IN THIS GAME.
STILL DRE
February 2nd, 2012 at 1:45 pm
i honestly think fif culd care less he got alot goin on rite now between sk, sms n his new artist n shieet. not to mention interscope seems like a crooked situation
February 2nd, 2012 at 1:46 pm
You put alot of trivial thought into this. This is like watching the WWE or a soap opera. All the drama is FAKE. 50 Cent and Dre are business partners not gang members, Dr. Dre doesn’t need to “ride” for 50 Cent.
February 2nd, 2012 at 1:48 pm
I wonder how much Dre charges for a beat, I bet whatever the watch cost wasn’t even half of what he charged Ross.
February 2nd, 2012 at 1:55 pm
Am I the only person tht thinks dre is extremely overrated instead buy grown men watches in should be I the studio with his team of producers and writers puttin this over due album together
February 2nd, 2012 at 2:28 pm
50 is a real hood guy. Ross is a guy that’s just surrounded by hood guys. Dre is a businessman/producer who, as someone mentioned before, put food in 50s mouth and gave 50 a chance, not the other way around. 50 was running around screaming 2 headed monster, 50, Em n Dre lmao and Dre doesnt even care about that noise. Anyways, point being, or as all these rappers today like to say, AT THE END A’ DE DAY, 50 fell off, Ross is popping so Dre is gonna align himself with who ever is popping. The End.
February 2nd, 2012 at 2:50 pm
@bk i dont think dre was lazy lol its kinda like u know that friend thats crazy and he wants u to pick him up but u dont want too even tho u might have fun so you say man im tired ,well haa..
February 2nd, 2012 at 3:11 pm
it business don’t take personal if anything 50 cent should man go talk ross and seeif can get something hot
his rap career has feel of bad
and end day Dre Is 50 Cent boss
if you don’t see by know dre and shady don’t care 50 cent childish beefs any more
50 tried beefing with lil wayne shady has done like 5 tracks and toured with him
50 cent works for them
February 2nd, 2012 at 6:31 pm
You forget 50’s been taking some very under handed shots at Dre n Jimmy Iovine. n 50 is signed to Shady/Aftermath, more so Shady than Aftermath. Em n Dre are partners in makin that 50cent brand shine. And at the end of the day 50 is Eminems artist to deal with.
And as far as the Pac issue goes, who do you think has n had all that unreleased n unfinished work. And who do you think gave Eminem the go ahead n the producer creds for ‘Resurrection’. People forget Dre got all his ‘masters’ back from Death Row.
February 2nd, 2012 at 7:50 pm
men shouldn’t give each other extravagant gifts unless they’re related…they just shouldn’t.lol.
February 3rd, 2012 at 2:04 am
Your whining and rant is indicative of what Stan is all about. You and people of your ilk can’t seem to understand the difference between a record deal and a friendship.
February 3rd, 2012 at 6:13 am
Wasn’t Officer Ricky taking shots at Dre and Eminem during his 50 beef? Did Dre catch amnesia? He is the most overrated producer E-V-E-R. After jacking the Bomb Squad’s production style to “produce” those NWA records, he swiped Warren G’s style for Death Row and has been hiding behind “ghost producers” like Mel Man for years. Pac saw through his facade. I see through it too. F*ck Dre!!!
February 3rd, 2012 at 11:52 am
Damn u I’ve been tellin ppl for yrs that about dre and I was called crazy I see u know hip hop but he’s been billed as hip hop greatest produce which is total BS but he got jimmy the jew and white boy shady
