Despite closing the doors on the place back in January, DJ Premier is paying tribute to his beloved D&D Studios (aka HeadQCourterz Studios) with his next project. Speaking to Hip-Hop 4 Life while playing a festival in Paris last month, the legendary producer announced that his upcoming solo album is called Last Session at 320, named after his long-time lab (which was located at 320 West 37th Street).

The record will be accompanied by a documentary film on D&D studios, but even more exciting is the list of names involved: Nas, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Ed Sheeran, Christina Aguilera, Black Moon, Smif-n-Wessun and Heltah Skeltah are all set to appear on the album. Premo’s even working on getting a verse from Eminem, too. He doesn’t have a release date yet, unfortunately.

Throughout the interview Premo also talked about working on Compton with Dr. Dre, the planned Gang Starr biopic, his memories of Big L and much more. Stay tuned for a DJ Premier x MC Eiht project called Which Way Is West, too.
