New Mixtape: Da$H ‘V.I.C.E.S.’ (Feat. Action Bronson, A$AP Ferg, Ab-Soul & More)
Posted by Andy B. under Mixtapes[6] Comments
As the nephew of mogul Damon Dash, you’d think Da$H would be suited for hip-hop’s highest tier. Instead, the New Jersey native has been carving out a name for himself in the bubbling indie scene, notching collaborations with the likes of Curren$y, Chuck Inglish and Sir Michael Rocks. The slick-spitting bucket hat aficionado racks up more big co-signs on his new solo effort, V.I.C.E.S.
The 15-track project boasts appearances from Action Bronson, A$AP Ferg, Ab-Soul, A$AP Nast and Vince Staples, with some wavy production coming from Larry Fisherman (aka Mac Miller), Thelonious Martin and others.

so fuck LiveLoveASAP? I think NY dudes need to expand their minds and make better music. I love boombap but it’s been corny for YEARS in NY. For some reason y’all allowed the wackest rappers with zero personality (Action Bronson – a biter?!! — Roc Marciano, Fred Da Godson, Dipset, Vado, French Montana, etc… these nigs is TRASH) to get on wack beats and then wondered why people forgot about NY. If you ask me, ASAP Rocky’s “Trilla” is straight up boom bap despite the Southern influence. He made Das Efx sound ILL decades later lol. If you’re truly inspired by the South and do it right, I can’t complain. But NY rap has fallen off so badly that the charismatic people in front of and behind the scenes have moved on from hip hop to other things. NY needs to get its own sound back but in a NEW and interesting way that’s still 100% hip hop. I like what Fat Cat Pauly did with “Back To Rap” That beat’s fire but the rhymes are zzzzz.

J Cole is fucking terrible. He’s bland, has no charisma, and rhymes about dumb shit: the come up and girls. He has way too many “Life’s a bitch….” type lines. Wack wack wack. If he’s the most NY nig out then u can see why cats aren’t trying to do NY music, LOL
