Somebody pinch me. Please.

After 14 long, painful years, D’Angelo has finally announced his new album. The follow-up to his 2000 opus, Voodoo, is titled Black Messiah. The project will be debuted at a New York City listening session this Sunday (December 14), hosted by renowned writer Nelson George. Fans can RSVP to the event here, which takes place at the Dream Downtown Hotel in Chelsea at 4pm.

No other information is available other than various promotional material that has been mysteriously circulating the Internet this week. D’Angelo’s manager, Kevin Liles, uploaded a 16-second Black Messiah trailer on YouTube, while Twitter user @margielask posted a picture of what appears to be the finished CD. He also claims the album will be released this Tuesday, December 16.

If not Tuesday, it’s likely the album will arrive within the next few months as D’Angelo has already announced European dates for The Second Coming tour, which kicks off in Zurich, Switzerland in February. Check out the schedule below.
