Nicki Minaj appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday (Jun. 27) to promote her new single, “MEGATRON.” The Young Money Queen sat down with the comedian/late night show host to discuss her new record going No. 1 on iTunes, and announcing that her new album is on the way. Minaj revealed that she has a release date and title ready but decided to keep those details quiet.

Backed by The Roots, Minaj would play a game of ‘Wheel of Freestyle’ where she had to include three random words into her rap. The most hilarious moment came during a segment where Nicki and Fallon went out to dinner at a local Red Lobster. Minaj, who used to work for the restaurant chain before rising to rap fame, ordered a big feast and later served dishes to patrons.

Ari Lennox made her late-night television debut on Thursday (Jun. 20), appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Serving as musical guest, the Dreamville songstress performed a medley of the songs “Up Late” and “BMO.” Both records appear on Ari’s Shea Butter Baby debut album, released back in mid May. The appearance comes after the D.C. singer just wrapped up her first-ever headlining U.S. tour.

Earlier this week, Rihanna made her way to New York City to host a FENTY x Webster pop-up experience with fans and tastemakers. During her visit to the Big Apple, the pop star and entrepreneur caught with Seth Meyers for some good old day drinking at The Jane Hotel. The encounter was filmed for Thursday night’s episode of Late Night with Seth Meyers, where Ri Ri indulges in some Rihanna-themed cocktails made by Meyers.

After rating Seth’s pickup lines at the bar, Rihanna gives the late-night tv host a FENTY makeover. Drunk and dolled up, Meyers does an impromptu karaoke of Rihanna’s biggest hits as she films the madness on her phone. Watch the hilarious meeting below.

At the top of this month, Irv Gotti and Ja Rule appeared on Power 105. 1’s The Breakfast Club. The 58-minute conversation produced many highlights, including Irv’s revelation that a new Kanye West song will debut on the season premiere of his BET series Tales on July 2. An official trailer for the upcoming season is now out, featuring a preview of Kanye’s new record. Featuring Charlie Wilson, the track is called “Brothers” and a snippet can be heard below.

In support of his new album Father of Asahd, DJ Khaled was the musical guest on the season finale of Saturday Night Live this weekend. For his SNL debut, Khaled Khaled brought a handful of special friends to hit NBC’s Studio 8H stage. Introduced by guest host and Avengers: Endgame star Paul Rudd, DJ Khaled first delivered with medley of “Jealous” with Lil’ Wayne and Big Sean and “You Stay” with Meek Mill, Jeremih, J Balvin and Lil’ Baby.

The CEO of We the Best returned later in the show for a second medley of “Just Us” with SZA, “Weather the Storm” with Meek Mill and a touching moment of “Higher” with John Legend. The last song is the next single off the album, which features the late Nipsey Hussle. As a backdrop of Nipsey was projected, Khaled and his guests all gathered at the end paying their respect to the inspirational rapper.

Ciara’s new album Beauty Marks released last week, featuring appearances by Kelly Rowland, Macklemore and Tekno. The R&B singer is currently on a promo run, paying a visit to Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Thursday (May 17). The Atlanta entertainer served as musical guest, performing for the show’s Mercedes-Benz concert series on the outdoor stage. On-air, CiCi gave live rendition of her latest single “Thinkin’ Bout You.” Off-air and streamed live on YouTube, fans got to watch her medley set of “Set” and “Level Up” off her new album, plus past hits “Goodies” and “1,2 Step.”
