Exclusive: Cam’ron on the Origins of His Cape and New Projects With A-Trak and Smoke DZA (Video)
Posted by Mikey Fresh under Interviews[4] Comments

Last week was a big one for Cam’ron and JuJu. We were the first ones to report on their epic appearance on the runway at Mark Mcnairy’s 2014 New York Fashion week. In front of a bougie fashion crowd, Killa showed off his new Dipset capes with his first lady right there to back him up. In a strange transaction of introductions, Info was able to plug Cam with Mark last year who ended up making him four custom capes just in time for his new albums.
After the show, with JuJu by his side, Flee the Fashion God broke it all down with Miss Info. He explained where his cape idea originated from, broke down his new projects with A-Trak and Smoke DZA and even let JuJu spill the beans about their relationship
“I’ve been different my whole career,” Cam’ron says. “Being around this long, you just think of ways to reinvent yourself. I just thought that this would be fly.”
“I got the ‘First of the Month’ project coming out probably next month,” Cam tells Info. “Dame put together the A-Trak collaboration which is called ‘Federal Reserve.’ me and Smoke DZA got a project going on. It’s like five different projects, basically what we’re doing now is just trying to figure out the timing for everything. It’s probably 150 new songs done.”

I’ve always thought that Jim and Santana should’ve gotten more credit than Cam regarding fashion. They are essentially responsible for the style that’s been widely rocked since the Ballin’ (We Fly High) era. With that said, someone needs to get in Cam’s ear and let him know his core base isn’t in high school and won’t childishly mimic him like we did during the “pink explosion” and start wearing capes lmao. Just enjoy that shapely, beautifully skinned, statuesque creation called JuJu, keep providing us with pics of her, and enjoy the bread from your ventures that were actually reputable.
