biker-gang-fight

The deadly shootout between rival motorcycle gangs that killed nine and wounded 18 in Waco, Texas may have been started by a simple parking dispute. As of Monday (Apr 18), over 170 biker thugs from the Bandidos and the Cossack gangs were arrested in connection with the vicious incident.

On Sunday (Apr 18), the gang members began firing at each other in the parking lot and in the restroom of the Twin Peaks restaurant along Interstate 35 in Waco. According to reports, 200 bikers met to fight, and when it was all said and done, police seized over a 100 guns from the scene.

“It’s like the Wild West,” said McLennan County Sheriff Parnell McNamara. “These guys become very violent to each other very quickly over nothing.”

All 9 people killed in the brawl were members of either the Cossacks or the Bandidos. Now, news outlets are reporting that there may be more biker gang members heading to Waco for retaliation.

An argument over a restaurant parking spot may have ignited the horrific shootout between rival motorcycle gangs that killed nine, wounded 18 and led to the arrests of 170 bikers, police said Monday.

Texas law enforcement officials had been closely monitoring the Cossacks and Bandidos gangs, which they said were more responsible for the violence than the other three groups. A May 1 Department of Public Safety memo to law enforcement officials across the state noted that tensions between the two outlaw motorcycle gangs had been rising in recent months.

State officials consider the Bandidos the largest outlaw biker group in Texas and rank them as a Tier 2 threat, the second-highest, on par with the Aryan Brotherhood, the Bloods and the Crips.

The feud between the the Cossacks and the Bandidos has been linked to at least two stabbings in recent years. The latest hostilities were sparked, state officials said, by the Bandidos’ efforts to collect dues from the Cossacks in exchange for recognizing them as a club and allowing them to operate in Texas.
