AZ and Cormega Take it Back to 1995 on “Murda On The Daily”

New Music: AZ feat. Cormega “Murda On The Daily”
Talk about mood music and I don’t mean Joe Budden, here. I was lost in a zone for a good 1/2 hour after hearing this earlier this morning. It really made me reflect on the rap music I listen to now as opposed to what I bumped at age 15. AZ and Mega were definitely two artists who helped me fall in love with hip-hop. I felt the same way when I heard Raekwon’s “Flawless Crowns” [Listen] about a year ago. I mean these type of records just take you back. If you can’t remember buying 36 Chambers for the first time, I’m sorry you probably have no idea what I’m talking about. But stay tuned, I assure you we have some new Drake or something coming shortly.
Off Boomshell Presents: The Premix, cop that on iTunes.

Moments like this def. take me back to the days of when hip-hop had all the elements that hip-hop is lacking today. Little moments like this makes me appreciate checking you everyday inf’…keep blessing us 80’s babies with these gems, they are truly appreciated..

im glad their moving on with the firm without nas, i actually think they stand out more without nas being in the group, even though nas is my favorite its obvious he’s a loner, so do it without him, firm is back, im excited, i hope they get on their grind and drop a ton of songs and videos

Def some classic stuff hear. It takes you back to that late 90’s era. I can’t even describe the feeling I got hearing It ain’t heard to tell & one love for the first time. Nas, Mobb Deep, Ghostface, & Raekwon were in heavy rotation in my walkman. I squeezed everything I could onto those 60 minute tapes.

sounds like a lost Havoc beat.
Song’s decent, not great. But I get what you’re saying Mikey.
The problem with today’s hip hop is that it has no rawness, no feeling. which is a pretty big deal.
in the 80s, shit was raw. same in the 90s. Raw doesn’t equal gangsta. Raw just means ‘real’. Musically interesting. Cats had something to say and said it well. But in the 2000s, it became glossy, stagnant and garbage. Hip hop as a whole has become the laziest genre out there. and its ‘laziness’ is the selling point now, like on some wtf sh*t.
I bet half the people who come to this site don’t even know who Premo is, lol. But they’ll comment like mad about Rihanna’s new tweet.
