It’s been four months since Phife Dawg tragically passed away, but his music and legacy continue to live on through the new generation. On their latest single “Check the Vibe,” Audio Push’s Pricetag and Oktane trade bars like a young Q-Tip and Phife as they sprinkle some Inland Empire flavor on A Tribe Called Quest’s “Check the Rhime.” Hit-Boy also draws inspiration from Tribe as he cooks up a feel-good groove for his HS87 cohorts.
