A$AP FERG’s “Work” Video: The Trap Lord Chalky White
Posted by Mikey Fresh under Videos[35] Comments
Aside from the upcoming A$AP Mob group album, there’s another member ready to drop a solo mixtape. Get familiar with ASAP FERG aka The Traplord. He first caught my attention with his show-stealing verse off Rocky’s “Kissing Pink.” In fact, his verse is the first thing I go to when I go back to Rocky’s mixtape now. There’s something about his aura that screams: “I’m a f*ckin’ star!” Check out his latest trapped out and bugged out music video. Presented by Karmaloop, and directed by the homie, Shomi Patwary, who has worked closely with the Clipse.

just because you don’t like it, pls don’t accuse me of being “bribed” lol. I can totally accept a difference of opinion. But if you think I’m being bribed then just don’t visit. It’s not good for you as a reader. I don’t know Kwame, but I’ll check it out….well I would have if you had a different approach. Either way, I’ve done my time in this game and contributed enough to have the right to have an unpopular opinion now and then. I don’t really give a rat’s ass if anyone agrees with me most of the time. And I also don’t feel any need to be in the majority or the elitist minority. The best part….I also reserve the right to change my opinion at will. It’s big fun.
have a lovely evening! Sorry to disappoint!

I like Ferg. He got that 1995 Master P flow going on. I like it. Too many people got that Rick Ross flow these days.

Calm down, I’m not impressed with Kwame. What’s his best song I should check?
August 21st, 2012 at 1:07 am

aye man, I’ll give those a listen today
August 21st, 2012 at 9:15 am
Not my thing but I can admit its hard for me to enjoy some music without a hint of lyricism…..unless im drinking in which case I may still prefer my tried and true classics. The whole A$AP “thing” I see why they’re poppin’ today even though the music to me is just “OK” You keep telling folk your a star eventually they’ll believe it.
Yrs ago Jim Jones jumped on the “Crunk Music” bandwagon and had that 1 good joint by the same name but overtall NY trying to repackage that southern sound often comes off a bit fugazzi to me.

I love ASAP Rocky. I think he’s hands down the most interesting rapper out right now.
But Ferg is trash. Can’t rap, doesn’t have interesting beats nor unique style. So why are we listening to him again?! oh right… because he’s friends with Rocky.
this song is basically a stale Chief Keef ‘3hunna’. No offense, but you’d have to have shitty taste to like this. 3hunna was dope for what it was. At least it was sorta fresh. This is just wack.
I don’t know why people fall for this weed-carrier shit constantly. Just because a dude can rap doesn’t mean his weedcarriers can. In fact, 9 times out of 10, the weedcarriers make terrible music.

It’s funny that east coast ppl have to dumb themselves down and rap like mental midgets in order to be relevant. was there one good line in this song? i mean if i wanna get my ignorant ni66a shit on then i can vibe to this but i mean u really wanna put this shit on?
i am perplexed by u asians.

August 21st, 2012 at 2:09 pm
To each his or her own with their opinion but in my opinion this ish was horrible.
August 21st, 2012 at 3:06 pm
LOL I’d have to first learn who the others are beyond Rocky.

BTW, this is garbage… You know what it feels like? It feels to me that with the economy and how the world is now, we are dipping back into that age between kid and play, kwame, the west coast merge and growth period with rappers like BOSS (BTW I cant understand how people sleep on her being one if not the hardest female rapper. I dont care what her pedigree and college degree came from. colleges bore some of the hardest G’s beleive it or not) but that time period and that moment when Nas, biggie and wutang were just on the verge like gum touching the lips the moment the bubble forms. We have all these people STARVING for attention but the difference is… Theres no message in the music. It’s like babies with ace of spade in their bottles. what I mean is there is no grind to it anymore. They pop out the womb and say I got money… Wu Climbed!!! Nas CLIMBED!!! BIGGIE AND PAC CLIMBED!!! These clowns now days are just take it that’s how it is, when it really aint! Like what coporations and businesses do now, there is no GOVERNANCE over it anymore. it wasnt back then either but we had people to govern it for us like Russle, Dr. Jeckyl and Mr. Hyde (Andre Harrel), you know people like that. we aint got that no more… But all in all, the rappers now days are what I also call bandwagon rappers. they dont last long. they come out people jump on, figure out the following albums sound the same and jump off. No long standers anymore. Money ripped that out of it for us. I know i know you gonna say what about YMCMB, GOOD, crews like that (I’m bias with the GOOD cause they are the closet thing to having GOVERNANCE, but still bout paper) but they still push past and deflate what made hip hop and rap and mc’ing what it was… And I’m not against mainstream and making the paper, but it’s like the drug game dawg! After the rape and pillage of the hood we were left with nothing but another mess to start all over from again. Same with the rap game. It almost feels like we are at that moment of starting over. Romney is taking us back to the Reagan Bush years… So we will see who the real founders and forefathers and mothers of the game really are. Diddy needs to stop acting like he needs to be accepted and set the standards in the game again. Suge was right, he killed it for us by not staying hungry. He was hungry for the paper, but not for hip hop. Like Common, she was my first love, I use to love her, now i jsut miss her! We need that feeling back.

I am Joseph, Darryl, Jason, Dr. Dre, O’Shea
And a host of those who passed away
Today I’m Drake, I’m Wayne, 2 Chainz
You say you want to rap, to this bitch you must commit
Then you’re a slave to your grave, you won’t get out, you cannot quit
She menstruates weekly, her vibe covers keep you warm
But the source to her heart is love, word up, right on
You know how girls are, she love when you licking on her world star
Kissing on her belly, trick on her at Onyx
Confused fans think that she illuminates demonic
But she’s the object of my affections, God’s essence, God bless her
She bought me Bentleys, Breitlings, made some friends resent me
For writing about my life, they thought I should have stayed quiet
She took me to places I would have never saw without her
And she took me from my girl powder
I doubt I’ll ever be the same, hallowed be thy name
Give me strength so I don’t do this dame like Orenthal James
Brad warned me while driving this auburn Ferrari
Never follow in her games, I fuck around and I’ll be sorry
But I tried her used to ride her, for dollars not the fame
She slowed me down and had me guzzling on cups of lean
She’s a middle-aged cougar, showing young’uns the dream
Noticed she wasn’t breathing for a second then I screamed
“She’s dead!” and everybody took it out on Nasty
I was just looking out for my music family
Wasn’t trying to claim her to myself, she’s yours
You can have her she’s a motherfucking whore
I fuck Hip Hop
