anderson paak malibu

Anderson .Paak stole the show on Dr. Dre’s Compton comeback this summer, but all signs are pointing to his official breakout year coming in 2016. The charismatic crooner from Southern California is going about it the right way, at least, by dropping a new album called Malibu on January 15.

We’ve already heard two incredible cuts so far: the 9th Wonder-produced “The Season/Carry Me” and “Am I Wrong” featuring ScHoolboy Q. According to Billboard, the project will also feature appearances from The Game, Rapsody, Talib Kweli and BJ The Chicago Kid, plus production from the likes of Madlib, Kaytranada and Hi-Tek.

Malibu will be .Paak’s first studio album since last year’s Venice, but it also follows a handful of smaller releases including The Anderson .Paak EP, a four-track collaboration with Blended Babies, and the Link Up & Seude EP with producer Knxwledge, which drops tomorrow (December 4) via Stones Throw.
