The stars were out on Sunday night (Aug. 28) at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards live from New York City’s Madison Square Garden. Hosted by DJ Khaled, the three-hour show was lead by four medley performances from this year’s Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award recipient, Rihanna. That wasn’t all as Beyoncé had jaws dropping worldwide, bringing her LEMONADE visual album to life with a thrilling 16-minute set.

Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj performed their Dangerous Woman collaboration “Side To Side” for the first-time, while 23-time Olympic gold medalist Michael Phelps introduced Future’s performance of “F*ck Up Some Commas.” Nick Jonas and Ty Dolla $ign hit a 24-hour restaurant for “Bacon,” and G-Eazy joined Britney Spears for a sleazy and erotic performance of “Make Me” and “Me, Myself & I.”

Kanye West gave a shout out to Amber Rose during his unfiltered four-minute speech, before world premiering the music video for “Fade” which stars Teyana Taylor.
