I doubt you’ll catch Alchemist rocking shades in the club like a lot of these wanksters, but his upcoming eyewear collabo with 9five is definitely something nice to throw on for a sunny day, or a day snowboarding. Along with the sunglasses, Al hooked up a two-sided collabo with a gang of his homies. This is almost like Side A and Side B on those old cassette singles. Pretty cool, and the songs are strange but awesome. (spotted at HHNM)

Last week, Twitter and Instagram were buzzing after news got out that Eminem was shooting a video in Detroit with singer/songwriter Skylar Grey. Shortly after photos released including the shot above provided by Em’s manager Paul Rosenberg. The shoot was in support of Grey’s upcoming single “C’Mon Let Me Ride,” in which Eminem sings the hook of Queen’s classic “Bicycle Race” on the fun playful record.

Executive produced by Mr. Mathers, Skylar Grey’s Don’t Look Down debut is set to arrive in 2013 via KIDinaKORNER/Interscope Records. In an interview with Rolling Stone, Grey reveals it was Eminem’s idea to add the hook and explains the experience working with the Grammy Award-winning MC. The two have a winning track record as Skylar wrote the hook to Em’s “Love the Way You Lie” with Rihanna, and starred alongside Dr. Dre & Eminem on “I Need A Doctor.”

“That was an Eminem move. The first time I heard his verse, he had added that part in as well and it made me laugh, so we kept it. I love hearing Marshall change his voice like that and just, like, be a character, play a character, so I thought that was funnier, personally.”

“I’m grateful and blessed to have [Eminem] on my side because not only is he one of the biggest artists in the world, but I also really trust his ears and sensibilities, which is a hard thing to find. Marshall can hear gold through the shittiest-sounding recordings.”
