yg power 106 interview

YG has been keeping pretty quiet about Still Krazy, but with his sophomore album set to drop next month, the Bompton rapper sits down for an interview on Power 106’s The Cruz Show. YG talks about working with TDE’s MixedByAli, his attitude towards the Grammys (“that’s like the real trophy right there, I need one of them”), the positive response to his 2014 debut My Krazy Life and his upcoming tour with G-Eazy, Logic and Yo Gotti. As for Still Krazy, YG lets us in on the recording process behind the project and shares one particularly sinister line he just can’t get out of his head: “Don’t come to L.A.”

Everything was difficult with this album. Just the producer side of things, recording, putting it together, really getting my story off…The mixing part was very difficult due to the fact that bro [MixedBy]Ali, he got a lot of stuff going on right now, he popping.

Also, YG gets a surprise phone call from the Mayor of Compton, Aja Brown, who praises him for his work in the community. “I’m for the people,” he says.
