Yay! New Music: Lil Wayne feat. Eminem “Drop the World” (Updated with lyrics)
Posted by Miss Info under new music , things I love[100] Comments
wowza….well Weezy got his wish…a real collabo with Eminem, not just a “posse cut for Lebron,” lol. Eminem poops all over this, by the way. This is for Weezy’s “Rebirth” album which has been pushed to Feb, 2010. (spotted on UHTN)
New Music: Lil Wayne feat. Eminem “Drop the World” (usershare link) (and mediafire link)

no hooks, no singing…just rappity rap rappin-ass rapping. (specifically on that second half)
UPDATE: nice! thank you to reader Andy from TheRockabyeReview...he sent over the transcribed lyrics of Weezy and Em…..Def appreciate the hard work!
read after the jump
(Lil Wayne)
I got ice in my veins, blood in my eyes
Hate in my heart, love in my mind
I seen nights full of pain, days of the same
You keep the sunshine, save me the rain
I search but never find, hurt but never cry
I work and forever try, but I’m cursed, so nevermind
And it’s worse, but better times seem further and beyond
The top gets higher, the more that I climb
The spot gets smaller, and I get bigger
Tryna get into where I fit in, no room for a nigga
But soon for a nigga it be on, mu’fucka
‘Cause all the bullshit, it made me strong, mu’fucka
So I pick the world up and I’ma drop it on your fuckin’ head
Bitch, I’ma pick the world up and I’ma drop it on your fuckin’ head
And I could die now, Rebirth motherfucker
Hop up in my spaceship and leave Earth, motherfucker
I’m gone
Motherfucker, I’m gone
I know what they don’t wanna tell you
Just hope you’re heaven-sent, and you’re hell-proof
I-I walk up in the world and cut the lights off
And confidence is the stain they can’t wipe off
Huh, my word is my pride
But wisdom is bleak, and that’s a word from the wise
Serve to survive, murdered and bribed
And when it got too heavy I put my burdens aside
So I could pick the world up and I’ma drop it on your fuckin’ head
Bitch, I’ma pick the world up and I’ma drop it on your fuckin’ head
And I could die now, Rebirth motherfucker
Hop up in my spaceship and leave Earth, motherfucker
I’m gone
Motherfucker, I’m gone (I’m gone)
(Eminem)
It hurts, but I never show this pain you’ll never know
If only you could see just how lonely and how cold
And frostbit I’ve become, my back’s against the wall
When push come to shove, I just stand up and scream “Fuck ‘em all”
Man, it feels like these walls are closing in
This roof is caving in, up its time to razor-thin
Your days are numbered like pagers and
My book of rhymes, got ‘em cookin’, boy
This crooked mind of mine got ‘em all
Shook and scared to look in my eyes
I stole that fuckin’ clock
I took the time and I
Came up from behind
And pretty much snuck up
And butt-fucked this game up
Better be careful when you bring my name up
Fuck this fame, that ain’t what
I came to claim but the game
Ain’t gonna be the same on the day that I leave it
But I swear one way or another I’ma make these fuckin’ haters believe that
I swear to God, won’t spare the rod
I’m a man of my word, so your fuckin’ heads better nod
Or I’ma fuck around in this bitch and roast everybody
Sleep on me, that pillow is where your head’ll lie
Permanently, bitch, it’s beddy-bye
This world is my Easter egg, yeah, prepare to die
My head is swole, my confidence is up
This stage is my pedestal
I’m unstoppable, incredible
Hope you’re trapped in my medicine ball
I could run circles around you so fast your fuckin’ head’ll spin, dog
I split your cabbage and your lettuce and olives
I’ll fuckin’
Pick the world up and I’ma drop it on your fuckin’ head
Bitch, I’ma pick the world up and I’ma drop it on your fuckin’ head
And I could die now, Rebirth motherfucker
Hop up in my spaceship and leave Earth, motherfucker
I’m gone
Motherfucker, I’m gone (I’m gone)

I’m not a bg Wayne fan but I dont think he was overshadowed on this one.. I think he held his own!!
I think it was a good track that actually never got sidetracked from its central theme which seems to always happen with Wayne on everything he does..ADHA, EMO rap…
But this was ok.. Not sure what the rock part was.. but ok…
Em was ok not over the top special just seems like he’s slowly finding his form and getting back to the eminem show form… so I can wait for his third album which should be a focused well crafted product…His last album just seemed like shit that was built up that he wanted to put out…

as ALWAYS Em, spazzed on a nigga. There’s no point in addressing it anymore. To semi-quote Family Guy, Eminem outshinin you on your own shit “is like sex with Kobe Bryant. Whether you want it or not…its gonna happen.” lol.
I always wanna quote a bar or two of new shit, but he just gave too many. don’t wanna type that much.

Well this wasn’t disappointing to say the least. Wayne actually spit some bars that was worthy enough to consider giving it a second listen to. It like he zoned out and went in to Carter 2 mode all over again. I’m not even getting in to who verse was better. Cause it is oblivious who is the better MC in general ….im just gald the song didn’t SUCK!
Reply
December 15th, 2009 at 6:58 am
Ok hold up, Em is the dopest MC on earth full stop (point blank period) and he kills this track, however bar for bar wayne has the best lyrics on this track, he went deep wid it (no schmo mo) em not so much felt like he got lazy towards the end of the verse but it is his delivery and flow which gives him the win on this one. if you disagree, read the bars and listen to the song again.
peace.

I don’t like Wayne but I agree that he may have the better lyrics after I listened again. I mean…Em just rapped fast. I’ve heard better lyrics from a lotta people this year but I think people are just happy to see Em doin it again and tired of Wayne. But from an unbiase standpoint, Wayne had lyrics and Em had flow, which is kinda irony.

December 15th, 2009 at 6:58 am
Wow, Em’s Bridge and Verse are pretty epic. I really like the way they way they doubled up his voice.
But no one is pointing out the beat and premise are lame. It’s that boring wanna-to-be rap rock. I’d rather hear this over something Hip Hop!

This track is a beast. Em does kill it but Wayne’s verse is right.
Reply
December 15th, 2009 at 9:32 am
There is a myth perpetuating that Em always kills others on “there own shit”. There are no albums I love more than Em’s first 3. But he receives exaggerated acclaim. I’ve heard Jay-z get on others albums/songs/remixes and kill it many more times than Eminem has (he doesn’t even do enough features). Everyones got this idea because of ‘Renegade’ which is the single greatest demonstration of lyricism and flow known too man. But 50 got on Em’s 8 mile soundtrack and killed “i just wanna love you” better than Em. And he was better than Em on the Encore album cuts.
And Kanye (Forever being an obvious exception) is the Chief of being the highlight on group cuts. On ‘Forever’ Weezy is the best on that, Em’s fast flow is impressive but it doesn’t have the flair of Weezy’s. Come on “what should I scream for this is my theme park” he’s beastly on that. And this track Weezy is better than Em and his the chorus is crazy…. lyrically deliverally? and emotionally!
POW!!
SSLP MMLP and TES were when Em was at his best and everyone else’s, with ‘Ready to Die’ being the only possible rival for Demonstration of Rapping Genius Immortality.

Co sign on Em getting way too much credit for killin niggas on they own shit. I think it’s because people get used to him rappin that ‘we made you’ type bullshit so when he gets on a another MCs shit and does his little fast flow everybody jumps on his dick. Its kinna like 3000 but worse because he’s white. If anybody goes back and reads the lyrics to ‘Renegade’ Jay was sayin some ill shit about why nigga have to hustle, Em’s flow was ill but he wasn’t really sayin anything.

While Curtis 50 “baby mama drama” Woodface Johnson sings about baby mamas, disses his baby mama, and tries to sneak up on Jay-Z’s bung-hole… weezy and em are making history.
Holy shit… I’d liked to have seen Curtis 50 “baby mama drama” Woodface Johnson’s face when he heard about this project, and when he heard the cut.
It’s a bad year for Curtis 50 “baby mama drama” Woodface Johnson.
He was crushed by Jay-Z, Rick Ross, and now it’s Weezy’s turn.

Like 21 posts on here state eminem killed it, he’s in a class by himself, he’ll outshine you…yada yada yada
as soon as I saw this, I knew there were gonna be x amount of eminem fans on here stating “he’s the best.” cause you move units does not mean you are the best lyrically, ur just very marketable!
I don’t see it. but everyone has the right to their own opinion.
I thought the song was trash…
2 thumbs down. and all these stans is sickening. I heard the song this morning, cypha sounds played it on hot 97, and wayne’s part was not to my liking. maybe the brother needs to start writing lyrics again, and for some odd reason I knew eminem was gonna do his little ol speedy gonzalez flow/same ol same ol shit.
I am amazed at how people say he owns the english language, and he can shape flows and bend words, WHEN HE RYMES THE SAME DAMN OL WAY ALL THE TIME!
Eminem….impress me, rhyme differently, change ur flow 4 once.
And if eminem has/had such a drug problem….why would you title ur next album about refilllin up on drugs? maybe once sober, the so called flow will be gone…

I saw some shit on eminem about him growin up…and he pretty much had a fucked up life. I felt for the kid after I saw that shit. He need a real good friend instead of a whole bunch of yes men. he need somebody real around him! I hope the bro never kills himself, life is worth much more.
I have never heard drop the world, honestly(LOL)I can’t stomach an eminem song.
But on some human shit, the greedy people need to back off, and his homies need to step up and see what’s up. stars that dwell on suicide and death tend to become that. somebody need to jump in b4 it’s too late.

emenem has not really battled anyone with power in the rap game. just people 50 beefed with. Its easy to come to a studio session with a well written rhyme. But in reality can he really go bar for bar with JAY-Z OR Nas even andre 3000. That renegade shit is what Jay wanted. If he felt insecure about his rhyme he would have changed it but he didn’t…..Like LL DID TO Cannibus on 4.3.2.1…..

“emenem has not really battled anyone with power in the rap game”
………THANK YOU
when eminem goes bar for bar, he starts to say really stupid, meaningless shit. and inspite of that he has a crowd of cats screamin ooh and aah to his weak ass verse, then they all talk about he’s the greatest……
…lawd mi God. SMH

Anahilator u must be young. Eminem used to be the best battle rapper in the world before he became the best rapper in the world. None of the recording rappers could stand even 8 bars of eminem treatment in a battle setting. Go look for Eminem vs Juice on Youtube. Educate yourself.

battle rapping is differant than making a record. I’m actually 35 yrs old. What you talking bout? and a freestyle of the head is not the same as a diss song. cuz if you put out a diss song it better make sense and have hurting words….but what do you really relate to when talking about em. wife beater, mom trasher, drug user. plz. dude gets busy thats what I CAN SAY. bUT IN MY TOP FIVE NOT HIM.

Can people please stop this Wayne is the best alive shit, not that anyone who listens to flows, lyrics, substance etc actually thinks he ever was, frankly I dont know how anyone could even utter those words that Wayne is the best, but thats just me.
But this again proves it, lets see, Em has killed Dre, Fifty, Wayne, Kanye, Jay Z etc on tracks, this is the second song Em killed Wayne on, so stop that best rapper alive bullshit, cause the best alive in Em, shit, he might just be the best ever period.
Flow, lyrics, song writing, pound for pound, track for track, Em is one of the best.
Just listen to tracks like white america, lose yourself or rabbit run, just the way he flows is insane.

Em didn’t murder or kill anybody this time, but I must say, hearing that narrator on VH1 utter the words “@ 27 years old Wayne is regarded as the best rapper alive” pissed me off to no end.

The song as a whole has a slight annoyance to it. Might be the beat or Wayne’s voice
I read the lyrics before listening and it seemed as if Wayne had more interesting things to say (for once).
Em on the other hand had a better flow and delivery all together. Towards the end he did get lazy:
“I split your cabbage and your lettuce and olives” (Really?)
This isn’t a song I’d repeat.
Yes Em is a great MC, but this track is NOT an example to go gushing or yelling from the highest mountain about. So relax Stan’s.
As for Wayne, I’m not a fan of his @ ALL! Period.
BUT
I will say that his verses were nice, but I have a feeling that it’s ONLY because he didn’t talk about his two favorite subjects: Money, and sex (w/ both genders).
No Eminem did NOT murder anyone this time. They both did OK. No need for forensics.

if u feel lke this is the most wayne has being lyrical ur dead wrong first of all, wayne consistantcy even from his mixtapes proves that the guy is one of the most advanced rappers..and eminem is seriously good but listern to the song and word for word from metaphor to punchline to word play..wayne had off all that..em in the other hand main focus was on the flow and one punchline with the “clock thing” ..
so with that being said
what does it take to make a great verse
