That’s why we as true hip hop fans need to support artist that we feel are true hip hop. Record deals these days are hard to come buy if you aint dropn bs ringtone music. We need to buy the official albums when they come out or we gone continue to hear turn my swag on, and other bs that’s on that level of garbage

Dag, my homeboy was there when they shot this; didn’t mention that it was a cover shoot for XXL. All he said was that all 4 of them were on Edgewood one night. Gucci pulled up in the foreign whip, completely iced the eff out. Shawty Lo and O.J. were the same, but he said Soulja Boy was shook, and didn’t want to be out there like that.
Edgewood = Fiend City

So as a NYC hip hop dude raised in the 80’s and 90’s I’m all for listening to Q-tip and blasting Joell’s new mixtape and listening to meth and red all day along with Raekwon… but sometimes I just wanna hear some ignorant-ass, down south, dirty dirty type shit. Why? Because the music makes no sense but its fun as fuck and all these entrepreneurial ass down south guys really remind me of when hip hop first blew up and old folks said it was just a fad… Master P was poppin’ in 96 folks. Its def not a fad. Now Info… I gotta TURN MY SWAG ONNNNNNNNNN…

The day of the geechie is over
This is a hip hop menstrual show turned on it’s ear. I saw Bamboozled, this is some man tan shit. these dudes might as well be dancing a jig eating chicken and spitting water melon seeds or dancing in a McDonald commercial. If the re instated slavery today I honestly would understand because this cover might as well have set us back 400 hundred years. 4 Coons on the cover not one intelligent thought between them.
Oh, thank you Atlanta, and thank you new south for your contribution to hip hop. Its much appreciated. (arms crossed and head lowered in shame)

I agree with no limit/cash money theory. It is what it is. Above artists only use rap as a form of delivery – it’s not hiphop. Nobody hates on rock artists who happen to rap in their rock songs. You don’t have to be hiphop to rap
What XXL should do is to ask itself – are we HIPHOP or RAP magazine??

Shout out to Orange Juice the Juiceman, Gucci Mane so Icy, I-Soulja bOy Tell em and Shawty Lo!
All I’m sayin if New York was putting that work in, the South wouldn’t be on top, some of these rappers is lazy with the work they put in so the end result is, it is what it is. When Busta came out with “New York Sh!t” I thought that would kick start something but, nah!
I also think if all these rappers put the work in as much as the south, they would be able to co-exist and complement each other on the records, I mean Killa made an example of it on “Cookies and some Apple Juice.”

Ok Nightfall914 what do you call a hater than if your over 19, “A Waste of Sperm” or what? Haters are Haters, retard. I think the older the person the more hate they have, b/c they haven’t produced shit with their life so they feel like taken it out on someone else who has with less talent. Just b/c these 4 guys on the cover are doing 10x’s more with their lives than those bitching on all sites doesn’t mean you should hate. Go out and do something with yourselves. Put that effort of hating so much into something you like to do. Maybe you too will make something with yourself, but more than likely you won’t.

@ Coolin
No reality check.
Hate is Hate when a black boy gets murdered by white police.
Hate is Hate when an illegal immigrant gets assaulted by angry unemployed workers.
Hate is Hate when a Muslim in New Jersey gets harassed by people blaming him for 9/11.
Get your perspective in line.People forget their positions. You’re not obligated to like everything on this earth. But as you get older and hopefully more intelligent you should be able to EXPRESS yourself with a little more savvy then “You hating” or “Their getting money” for that fact.
This is Hip Hop music. We’ll all have different tastes and perhaps some of us don’t care for the style over substance ways of the industry right now. That doesn’t equal hate.I’d hope nobody here is losing sleep because these guys are on a damn magazine cover.
