Man, World’s Fair used to be one of my favorite groups when the “New New York” renaissance was popping off in the early ’10s. Well, as the group themselves put it, the Bastards are Back.

The kids from Queens — Remy Banks, Lansky Jones, Nasty Nigel, Cody B. Ware, Jeff Donna, Prince SAMO and DJ Thoth — have announced their debut album New Lows, dropping later this year via Fool’s Gold Records. The crew are kicking things off on a high with the project’s first single “Elvis’ Flowers (On My Grave),” a genre-bending head banga that brings Jungle music into their concrete jungle.

“The deeper DJ Thoth and I got into DJing at Elvis Guesthouse, the more we experimented with BPMs and tempos finding a middle ground to please both ourselves and the crowd,” Nigel tells HYPEBEAST. “Lansky Jones, NOLIFE and myself flew over to Detroit to link up with Black Noi$e and work on this album. Naturally ‘Elvis’ Flowers’ came from blending jungle and rap the same way we were experimenting behind the decks. The music video documents that year running around New York City and the watering hole that was Elvis Guesthouse.”
