World Premiere: Gucci Mane feat. Usher “Spotlight” (Produced by Polow Da Don)
So….I don’t know what all the hardcore trap-fans are gonna say, but as a gal…this song is super cute to me. Sue me. It’ll be all over the clubs, I garr-un-tee. The tip off was when yesterday, at the video shoot, even after the camera stopped rolling on a take, the whole “club” of extras, artists, crewmembers etc, kept singing the chorus acapella like they were really in a party…Benny Boom directed the clip in Atlanta with both Gucci and Usher on hand, and Nicki Minaj too. And the pretty leading lady is the daughter of Eddie Murphy and Nicole Murphy….she was tall and giving me shades of Rihanna/Keyshia combined.

but yo really, gucci is a genius as a businessman. 4 mixtapes in 1 week with a mix of trap music and some pop songs, then collabs covering all the bases (z-ro, big boi, drake, mariah) followed by a crossover hit.
december will definitely be poppin for gucci. WELL DAMN!

so…those ‘4′ mixtapes were actually really just 2 new ones. about 12 of those songs are duplicates or shit that he’s come out with a while ago. and sorry, a true businessman is someone like Jay-Z or 50cent (who im not a fan of). Gucci isnt smart enough to do this shit on his own.

i have nothing against the nigga…im just saying if you do something don’t disappoint. it would have been better if that “Cold War” series told a story. personally, the only song i heard that told one was ‘Timothy’, probably the best track on the 3 tapes. and i agree with you on comparing the work ethic of gucci to wayne…that shit is true
….and move on from what exactly? gucci isnt a businessman at all. just cuz you can push FREE mixtapes doesnt mean you are gonna push your CD’s the same. He just needs to get a good manager behind him and book his ass for a FUCKLOAD of shows…

If you don’t like one thing then go get another. All this I hate hip hop shit makes folk said real short sighted. If your hip hop is limited only to whats given to you by the commercial outlets then your in need of more growth anyway.
We have access to all types of music so stop whining because Gucci is getting a lil mainstream attention and go find music that appeals to you. It really isn’t that hard.
