While we didn’t witness any hologram performances at this year’s Coachella, there were still a number of memorable moments from the annual music festival. R. Kelly and Phoenix definitely killed it, but entire Wu-Tang getting onstage was the best rap moment of the weekend. The RZA, GZA, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface, Inspectah Deck, U-God, Masta Killa, and Cappdadonna (RIP ODB) came together like Voltron and showed their unity after 20 years. They rocked Wu staples like “C.R.E.A.M.,” “Protect Ya Neck,” and “Can It Be All So Simple.” And of course, there was some solo joints sprinkled in, like Mef’s “Bring Da Pain.” With their 20th anniversary album, A Better Tomorrow, tentatively set for a July release, let’s hope this becomes the summer of Wu.
