Oldboy is probably the most known Korean film in the United States. The 2003 thriller, which was directed by Park Chan-wook, revolves around a man who has been held captive for 15-years straight in a musty hotel room. His captors feed him and subject him to strange daily rituals that make lose his marbles in the worst way. He’s then released to the free world without any explanation and begins a crazy journey through a series of lies and deception. It all sounds weird as hell but the movie is amazing. Looking to recreated the magic for American audience Spike Lee has taken it upon himself to “remake”the movie. Josh Brolin stars as the main character. Today, the official trailer was released to the public and the big question is… can Spike really pull this off?
