If you’ve been watching these 2 Chainz vlogs, you’ve really gotten an inside look at what he’s thinking. In the second of his mini series, “Sacrificing My Life,” Tity Boi explains how he’s used the metaphor of basketball and translated it into his rap career, taking the opportunity of “coming off the bench” and “becoming a permanent starter” aka rap superstar, in his own right. He recalls a conversation he had with Kobe Bryant, about how he admired his work ethic, and even though he didn’t see him at the gym shooting freethrows, the results were proven on the court during game time.

He’s really taken that same mentality and used it to his advantage. And we’re about to witness it with the release of his sophomore album, B.O.A.T.S. II: Me Time.
