and to put Wale and Illmatic in the same sentence is ludicrous. To quote Jay-Z: “Don’t mention my name and lames in the same sentence”

“I think that in time, Wale’s debut album will draw the same accolades as Nas’ debut because its that good.” – Boudicon, are you smoking rocks? you do realize that Illmatic gets accolades because it’s actually an incredible and groundbreaking album, not just that it’s ‘old’? Not everything ages well, and I doubt “Pat Your Weave” will be looked back on as lyrical and production genius. You’ll have to sit and take an L on this one, man.

For the record, I like the drums on this “Pat Your Weave” song. It gives the track a good bounce. The song is OK for a club environment.

I meant reminiscent in the sense of its honesty and production not necessarily its content.
