Waka Flocka shot in robbery attempt, but recovering (Updated)

Waka Flocka Flame (who is part of Gucci Mane’s Brick Squad crew, and Mizay Mgmt as well) was shot today in an alleged robbery attempt. There are reports that it happened at a gas station or at the barbershop….either way, from what I’m hearing, Waka was not shot in the chest (as is widely rumored), and is not in critical condition. Insiders are citing arm/shoulder wounds and say that the young “O, Let’s Do It” rapper will be ok. Which is good news.
UPDATE: The bullet apparently passed through Waka’s arm, and into his ribcage, damaging his lung.
UPDATE 1-27-10: Waka Flocka called into Atlanta’s Hot 107.9 to discuss the shooting.

Having yourself shot and robbed is not a cool publicity stunt and that shit does not work. Name someone other than 50 this has worked for. 50 got shot up and down his body and he is the only one to ever capitalize off of this type of publicity. Do you know the most craziest thing that I noticed with this…. Let say for the sake of argument sake this was a real crime, the fact that people are saying it was a PR stunt lets us really know the state of the game. Its like you have to release a statement saying that it wasn’t a PR stunt and hope people believe you to not LOL at you and actually hope you get better. But on a crazier note why would you risk getting killed over something that can be replaced (if its real) I mean you don’t get more gansta points for geting shot and not giving it up. 2Pac didn’t really sell shit while he was alive, look it up (like 15% of the albums he has sold total were while he was alive). Is anyone surprised? This kid is named after the sound of a gun being cocked, claims to be a blood, and talks all grimey in his music. If you want to portray that lifestyle in your music, you should expect people to test your gangster.
