Juelz was hanging out with my girl Angie Martinez the other day, and during their conversation, which I’m sure will be on youtube soon, Juelz mentioned that he’s got alot of music ready, he’s got his Skull Gang crew ready, and he’s really excited about moving forward on his stuff. Then when Angie asked him about how fans really want him to just put out some music, Juelz said that he didn’t have that freedom because his record contract situation was in limbo. Then when asked about why there has been such a delay, Juelz said this….
Verrrry interesting. Juelz went on to say that it’s Cam, who needs to answer the tough questions about Juelz’s situation. And then he urged Cam to call the show…which, obviously, did not happen.
In the past, Juelz has been maddeningly neutral on all fronts. When Jim Jones first spoke out about his tension with Cam, then when Cam and 50 were arguing, Juelz kept his feelings to himself and just focused on himself. Through everything, he’s either said nothing or stayed neutral.
But it looks like things are changing.

Believe what you must, but it’s a fact that son is signed to a SOLO deal at Def-Jam. In terms of his SOLO career, what the f@ck does Cam have to do with the lack of Juelz Santana music in the streets right now. I dont get surprised when I hear Jimmy blaming Killa on his lack of success but I always figured Juelz was less delusional. Guess not.

This is what happens with every artist that signs record distribution deals on other artists label that are under larger companies. You gotta wait for this nigga to feel good enough about his own career before you can do your thing. It’s business. You gotta respect Cam for putting them on “time out” and you can’t be mad at them for not wanting to jump in the mix with the situation as it is. first off 2gutta…meh, not worth it. I can’t lie I’ve been a huge fan of Juelz for a loooong minute, and when I think of Dipset I love the era of “Santana’s 2 albums, purple haze, come home with me, diplomatic immunity 1 and 2….”. BUT the bottom line is they all had the same sort of vibe, like you could feel the whole “collective movement” through the music-especially the DI album (that’s a classic right there). I could go on forever but the bottom line is Juelz AND Jim Jones would be unknown if it wasn’t for Cam. He’s the boss, he put them on. Jim isn’t an artist, he can’t rap and people know that. People like Juelz, but without those songs like “Oh boy” and “Gangsta Music pt.2″ with Cam I think he’s gonna be missing something. And how does being signed to Diplomat records stop him putting out mixtapes/songs? Cam >>>>> Jim. I believe JS made/is making the wrong choice! I am a bit appalled with some of these responses. How can Cam be washed up??? If it wasn’t for him, Jimmy wouldn’t have got “up outta 5H”, and no telling where Juelz would be… I hope they iron things out, but they owe homage to Jaffy Jo… Ruger has never left his corner, thats loyalty. glacierdon what are you talking about? Its a common fact that chuck berry is the father of rock and roll and fyi there are tons of black rockers. Does it matter that he was black or that they are black? A blackman also is credited with discovering blood transfusions. Should other cultures not be able to benefit from his science? If you did research you would find out that the ignorance that you are feeding is what lead to the same person who discovered the science of the blood transfusion dying from a much needed transfusion when the whites only hospital wouldn’t treat him.
Secondly, black people may have found hip hop but our great culture has found a home throughout the world. This has lead to the greatest of our culture and has given a voice to the voiceless worldwide. My problem with hip hop is not others particapation. That is part of its greatest at least this is what afrika bambata stated. My problems with hip hop stem from cooperate Americas hijacking of it. Hip hop used to be intelligent cooperate America has “dumbed” hip hop down and the artist are dumbing down their listening audience.
In closing, just relax. Hip hop is for everyone who wants to particapate period. Guys like cam, 50, jay z, snoop, krs 1, all should al come together and help liberate hip hop from the pirates insteading of going to war with each other. they are all grown men and I hope they wake up and realize who the real enemy of hip hop is. It isnt Asian, European, Latin or any other group of people. The enemy of hip hop is a lack of intergrity showcased by artist and distributors.
