The Notorious B.I.G. was the greatest (in skill) of all time.

Just cause you from the west dont’ make you right.

Tupac was tooooooo outspokened. He needed some more time to have matured. They took him too fast, “they” didn’t like his brain power, and where it was going. I don’t feel as though Biggie rhymed anything like him. From party n bullshit to life after death, but that’s just my opnion. I certainly feel Pac came across a deadly path when Suge bailed him out, and came into his life…like he was Pac’s friend and shit.

He didn’t come to the rescue, he just knew who did it and tried to arrange a meeting between the Wu-Tang members and the chain-snatchers. But from what I read, Wu-Tang decided the chain wasn’t worth the risk.

When you hear Biggie & 2Pac tell their sides of the story, you realize that the whole thing could have been squashed by a simple conversation.
Instead you had the media blowing things out of proportion, fans picking sides without knowing all the facts and boom, they both dead.
You have to respect the way he constructs an argument and justifies his actions. The real Blueprint to making a classic album is “All Eyez on Me”

First off, Big sounded nothing like Pac when it comes to any record i’ve ever heard of Big’s. Pac was great because of stuff like this. His passion. Pound for the pound the most passionate rapper and maybe artist of all time. Love watching his interviews.

With all the great work that 2pac has put in, its a shame how people can disrespect his legacy by placing Jay-Z above him. Biggie was a one hit wonder until the dis records made him relevent again. People have short term memories.

Pac isn’t saying biggie started rapping the same way he did. Pac is saying that biggie copied his STYLE(i.e the things he rapped about, his persona, the way he portrayed himself) Pac said that on the ”ready to die” album, biggie was rapping about his(2pac’s) lifestyle and Pac was angry that biggie didn’t ackoledge him. Remember the line in ”hit em up” ”now it’s all about versace you copied my style” notice how pac didn’t say ”you copied my rhymes” because it wasn’t about the lyrics it’s about the way big portrayed himself.

nigga please, since the days of the fuckin sugar hill gang. niggas been puttin themselves on a more grand extravagant level than what they really was. Run was talkin bout having a BIG LONG CADDY seville that said dressed to kill on the side. that was in like 1981/1982, and that was the nigga’s first jam! He aint have no big ass cadilac at the time.Grand master caz and niggas back in the day was doin that, and they lived in low income housin. rappers goin back to busy bee, rhymin at harlem world against kool moe dee, was always talkin about a more luxurious life style if clothes cars, and the women, from before recorded rap songs. SO PLEASE TELL ME….WHO DID PAC GET HIS STYLE FROM???????
That’s just what m.c.’s been doin from way back in the day my nigga, Pac aint start that style and Biggie aint bite it from Pac!

You’re mentioning rappers in the 80’s who didn’t get paid until AFTER they got on. In the 90’s, rappers got what they call “an advance”. They got paid BEFORE they came out. Oh, and 2Pac came out 4 years before Biggie, so Pac was lavish by the time Biggie came out. So with Pac and Biggie, it wasn’t just talk. They were both paid before they actual album came out. 2Pac ain’t get his style from nobody. Biggie had his own style, but he took 2pac’s content and ran with it cuz what he was doing at the time wouldn’t sell. So Biggie switched it up.

M.c.’s used that lavish style of rhymin even before they received an.. “advance.”
AND if I am correct 2Pacalypse now came out in 1991, and only went GOLD. Didnt Ready to die came out in 1994? that’s not 4 years. And before ready to die, Biggie was on singles…rhymin with Total, and Supa Cat. Big’s 1st alone single party and bullshit came out in Spring 1993. Tupac was not this super paid individual until Suge bailed him out. Notice what I just said….Pac couldnt even bail his own self out. So how paid could he really have been in the early 90’s. And in 2pacalypse now, he wasnt rhymin like a multi millionaire. He was talkin bout brenda’s baby. As a matter of fact, none of his songs from that 1st album was about ballin’. And in his 2nd album, which was released in the beginning of 1993, he barely touched on a ballin’ way of life. And Tupac said some of his favorite rappers were Kane and G rap. and they’re 80’s rappers, who made songs like I’ll take you there, and road to the riches. Pac was more like a KRS-1, Public Enemy in the start. “A radical thinker on a muscial level.” He changed them ways and went to ballin in the mid 90’s…when he got with ya boy.

I don’t know how old any of you are that commented before me, but I was listening to Biggie before ‘Ready To Die’ came out, and he was on some hood shit. He made songs that appealed to his neighborhood and circle of friends. Now he knew Pac way before his album came out, and he saw the way Pac formatted his albums (Like “Me Against the World”…aim for the ladies). So when it was time to release his 1st album, there were no more hood songs. There was ‘Big Poppa’ and ‘Juicy’. Meaning he was trying to get the ladies to buy his albums. Not all of his songs were like that, but the majority of the songs were pretty easy-listening compared to what he was doing before his album came out. That is what 2Pac was talking about.
And how would you feel if you got shot at your boy’s neighborhood and all your boys’ friends are there and nobody knows who did it? If 2Pac can find out who did it in jail, then the people who were there that night know who did it.

I can tell you don’t have the best reading comprehension skills in your school, so I’m gonna keep it simple. You see how you singled out one sentence out of my comment? What did I say 2 sentences after that? That NOT ALL OF HIS SONGS were like that, but COMPARED TO WHAT HE DID BEFORE, they were pretty easy-listening. You can’t take a portion of something and act like you understand the whole story. It doen’t work that way.
And don’t speak on something you don’t know about. 2Pac and Biggie was MY generation. You can keep your Drake. But let me school you on something. 2Pac wasn’t mad at Biggie for simply “just being there”. He was mad cuz they s’posed to be boys, Biggie knew the guy who shot him but acted like he ain’t know who shot him. 2Pac (who was jailed shortly after the shooting) found out who shot him in jail. Now how does someone in jail know who shot 2Pac, but someone who claims to be running shit like Frank White not know who shot 2Pac? That was 2Pac’s issue. Biggie knew who did it, but he acted like he ain’t know. Maybe Biggie ain’t wanna say nothing, but that’s why Pac thought it was a setup. I personally DON’T think it was, but I can see why Pac would.

Yes Tupac was outspoken as more of these so called artist should be. When Tupac spoke he looked you in the eyes like a man. Unlike most of these in the closet artist today who hide behind sunglasses in every interview. And yes connecting with Suge was probably not the best move for Pac, but Biggie was connected to someone much worst – Sean Combs. Just ask Big’s mama.
