Video: The Diplomats talk working with Dr. Dre and perform at the Funkmaster Flex Car & Bike Show

Early Friday morning, Jim Jones tweeted a photo of Dip Set in studio with Dr. Dre which had the internet talking about this unique collabo possibly for the group’s reunion album. Well yesterday Deanna Cruz of Hot 106 spoke with the group backstage at Funkmaster Flex’s Bike & Car Show in Providence, RI. During the interview they speak on the time in studio with Dr. Dre, if Vado will be featured on the group’s album, the Hot 97 re-union concert in November and Jim reveals a remix to “We Got That (Gretzky)” coming soon with Yo Gotti & Cam’Ron.
Props to Kingz.
After the jump The Diplomats hit the stage at the Car Show…..
At Funkmaster Flex’s Car & Bike show the Harlem collective performs ‘”I Really Mean It”, “Suck It Or Not” & “Back To The Crib”.

Ah man. I must say the new Dipset situation is just NOT interesting. I hate to say that because I was a huge fan. They just look uninspired and their personalities suck. They are not doing anything to draw fans into the group again. There is nothing authentic about the reconnect. Their interviews are just boring. And Jimmy really has that hater look everytime he speaks. Sorry fellas but this will be a flop. These guys are acting like these kids out here already know who they are. Sorry, new generation and you guys are just too late. Damn. Its still Dipset though.

Whn I look @ Cam and Juelz relationship it kinda reminds me of me and my lil bro. Juelz has not put out an album since Dipset broke up. I think Juelz needs to see Cam’ work just to get inspired or get approval or feedback b4 he feels confident to put out an album. i could be wrong. Its just my lil bro never makes big decisions unless i’m around or know about what’s going on with his career.
The whole beef was goin to be squashed and i’m glad everyone got a chance to air out their differences but its time for the music.
I don’t need another Diplomatic Immunity 1 is a classic so its a new chapter new music please Dipset!

When your rolling with the Dips, you carry boxes of condoms. When your rolling with Slick Ric you bring the factory and you keep your rolex and your pringle socks with the alligator loafers on, who knows when you got to sign a check from room service with a magnum of Perrier-jouet Fleur De Champagne. Always Stylin’, always Profilin’.

Excuse my late pass but they look tired and uninspired. They used to be trend-setters what happened to the Arab scarf look lol? Seriously, Cams gear makes him look like he’s in the 11th grade (from ’96). Jim looks old as dirt, no energy; no style. Elz still looks fresh even in casual attire. But I wonder are these men (Cam and Jim) -who are well in their 30′s -who once dissed Jay for getting old are now feeling the karma of their own disses. Jay and Kanye embrace their age and they get good energy from that. When you resist getting old and tired you ended looking just that, old and tired.
Excuse the tirade.
