You’ll definitely need to make time to sit back and take this in, above you can catch the bonus 1 hour interview from DJ Premier & Pete Rock that’s off their versus DVD that recently dropped in Japan.
Props to Rap Radar via DJPremierBlog
If that isn’t enough, you can watch Pete Rock’s sitdown a few weeks ago with Hip Hop Chronicle UK, after the jump……
After a recent show in London, Sumit and the HHC UK crew got the chance to sit backstage with Pete Rock to talk his upcoming five new albums in 2011, DJ Premier’s new album, Kanye West and more.
Thanks to the Hip Hop Chronicle UK

1 word , amazing … it was a cool interview by 2 of arguably the greatest producers of the 90’s new york scene. my fav part ( cuz i am a huge nas fan ) is when they talked about illmatic. after that clip , i wish i could write nas an open letter the way he did def jam ( allegedly ) and implore him to do what they said … 9 songs ( the intro would make 10 tracks ) for an illmatic remake … stillmatic was dope indeed , but if he got pete , preem , q-tip , large pro … just the thought alone makes me ecstatic , i mean … give us what we want already. i remember a few years back he did that cover of scratch with preemo , and they were gonna do the album together .. and then we got hiphop is dead… it was ok…but r u serious ? come on Nas , it’s time my dude. this album would be the 3rd biggest ever ( illmatic , sill mattic) , u could call this one ” realmattic …lol if u dont do this , u r a fool indeed

or scared , i mean lets face it , that first album is a classic. top 5 all time in hiphop ( arguably )and it set him up for the rest of his career as he made a perfect first album … how does any one top that ? it’s imposable. he had a life time to write that one. i think though it would be dope if he went back and looked at that album with older eyes , and gave a rebuttal to some of the themes of the songs. kinda like say now that 94 nas is sitting on the bench and 2011 nas is not the one passing him the jewels … and to add this to the topic , i’ll be frank , i have not bought a c.d. since like maybe 08 … i would buy that Nas album if he did it with them same guys … yo miss info , pass this nugget of gold to ya boy , please

yeah, that PR/Premo interview is so dope! I LOVED seeing them holding up those artistic vinyl covers and talking about such classic records.
That’s HIP HOP right there! Plain and simple. Until the rap game gets back to that sort of essence/feeling, I’m just not f*cking with it
