BET returns with Season 2 of Rising Icons and to start the series they feature Roc Nation’s J.Cole who speaks on being featured on Jay’s “A Star Is Born”, growing up as a bi-racial child and the process behind getting his yet titled debut album ready for the world. In between you can catch performances of cuts like “Who Dat”, “Lights Please”, “A Star Is Born” and “It Won’t Be Long”.

Come on,these are ppl with talent but icon, no. That word is thrown around to much now.
Obviously this is all promo. But glad BET is doing s/t musically to spotlight those up & coming.
I dont think Estelle is rising icon.
Did she blow us out the box, no.
I hated & still hate her ‘am boy’ single. IMO her other songs werent pushed
( touch, pretty please ).
Im supposed to buy her cd off 1 song.
No way.
I hope JL & atlantic come correct with “all of me”.

People don’t understand the the word “RISING” icon, its not claiming them to be one, its just another way of saying its up to them to live up to their hype. Stop making such a big deal out of labels. Damn its only music.
