Mikey: Well we heard about this footage… and finally we have Beans on camera giving Jadakiss and crew a preview from his now infamous “What You Talkin Bout” verse acapella. Not sure why this footage took so long to surface, “politics as usual” perhaps. Thanks to reader AFRA for the heads up. (footage via Bizkit)
Miss Info: yeah, this is the reason why I was so convinced about the fact that Beans was dissing Hov that day of the Philly concert. Despite what all the naysayers said about how I was just Jay-hating (ugh, please)….I knew I wasnt exaggerating s–t because Bizkit told me that there was backstage footage of Beanie spitting the same verse that he did onstage with the mic cut off. In fact, it was D-Block’s team that had asked people not to leak the video of this because they didn’t want to escalalate the tension, or make it seem like they were complicit. Jada had no idea Beanie was going to do at Hov on his set, and frankly, wasn’t too pleased. Which makes alot of sense.
Unrelated/Related: Beanie Sigel was in a car accident over the weekend but is recovering from scrapes.

I co-sign that. People need to realize these cats are in their mid or upper 30’s now. Beefing on their part would look mad stupid, which is why Hov (smartly) hasnt responded, and Beans and 50 continue to look like jackasses.

I’m basing my comment on track record. Lets be honest with each other Inf, D-Block is a cell block on Rikers Island and Jada, Styles and Sheek choose that name to rep their own movement. I enjoyed D-Blocks guest appearance at Rock the Bells (jones beach) w/ Nas. They had the whole crowd shouting “Mighty Mighty D-Block”
My thing is, lets be serious when we use the excuse “they mature now, they older now” yet their music/movement/vision doesn’t reflect that. We are admitting that HipHop is on some WWE now aka Studio Gangsters.

how is this a fight? We’re talking about Beans expressing his personal feelings. Beans wasn’t in the video brandishing guns, talking about “ya’ll ready to get this dude?” Dude was spitting bars…
I’ve heard the Lox spit some vicious bars, so they got skills to go toe-to-toe with anyone on mic.
See what it really boiled down to Info, is money. Dudes were opening for Jay and they trying not to bite the hand that is feeding them(tour money)

They were not opening for Jay. It was a Powerhouse concert. That is a radio station production. Jay was booked as the headliner. Had nothing to do with Jada’s set.

thanks for clarifying info. I’m not trying to pick a fight/beef with you. My thing is this…I’m a fan of all parties involved in this beef (and in the video). I’m not choosing sides or name calling. Like I mentioned earlier I’m basing my opinion/view of the situation on lyrics alone (and this video). I don’t want to see anyone get physically harmed in this situation, strictly skills on the mic.
Lets all be honest here, seriously. If you’re really a D-Block/Lox fan, you wouldn’t use the mature/older comment…if you get a chance copp a few of the recent D-Block mixtapes that are out, I doubt the albums have any “mature/grown-man” music on it.
If anyone knows of a “grown-man/mature” d-block album, please let me know…’cause I’ve yet to hear one.

I’ma have to agree with S7 on most parts. For Jada to listen to what Beans was saying, or allow him to spit that on his set shoulda been nothing. If Jada ain’t say it, then why would Jay have an issue with Jada. That’s gay to have beef with someone just cause they affiliated with someone you have beef with. They all know each other. If one of my friends says something about a mutual friend of ours, thats him saying it not me. You know that man, go see him. Don’t bring it to me. The fact is, Jay thinks he’s to big for Hip Hop.
My thing is this: Once you’re not ready to defend the Belt/Title you claim “King of New York”, then its time to get out the ring. That’s like a boxer ducking legitimate contenders. If you don’t wanna compete, then move on. One person ain’t bigger than the foundation or principles of Hip Hop….

fam don’t tell me what I listen to and don’t listen to. Sheek’s single was for the ladies…you can look at the track listing for both ‘The Last Kiss’ and ‘Life on D-Block’ and you tell me how the Lox is on some Grown-Man/Maturity angle.
Honestly after this convo with Info’s commentors. I want to hear from the Lox on why things went down the way they did. ‘Cause I’m not buying the “They mature now” when they music don’t reflect that…
watch the video again and you’ll see and hear Jada giggling to Beans verses. Then he turn around and dead’d his mic on stage.

I hear and see exactly what is going on, Jada had to know the song was about Jay in order to have Beans mic cut off. So don’t give me that BS about they reacting off of his bars…they reacting ’cause they know who he talking about. They smiled in his face and stabbed him the back on stage, on some “we ready to do this(amping him up with their oohs and ahhhs)…but froze up when the time came to show and prove.

I couldnt get the entire thing to play. Must be my slow a$$ system. I can tell you this tho. Siegel used to be one of my favorite rappers. I have no doubt that Hov is shady. I dont know a wealthy cat with clean hands but, Siegel being the street cat that he is didnt capitalize on this the right way. He (Nas excluded of course) is the ONLY rapper who could shut down Hov. I mean on a personal level. Beans being so real I wouldve believed anything he said in reference to ‘em. He’s coming off like Peedi Crack to me which is… I mean, Peedi Crack
