New Video: Usher “Climax”
Posted by Mr.North under life beyond rap , things I love , videos[7] Comments
Usher‘s facing quite the dilemma in the official video for the Diplo-produced smash, “Climax.” The ever popular lead single from Usher’s upcoming seventh album due this spring, features the pop star stuck in a love triangle. End a life or move on, watch Usher’s decision in the suspenseful visual above. Usher’s got another one on his hands!
Directed by Sam Pilling.
MissInfo: Wooo, this song is still on repeat at obnoxiously loud decibels at my desk. I love tortured love songs with bleak outlooks. And this video is appropriately dark too. A gun-toting, scruffy Usher who only pop-locks his shoulders once in the whole clip?!
And of course this song is bringing up lots of comparisons to that other Usher classic “Burn.”
Compare that video….
After the jump
Usher’s “Burn” video….decidedly more…schmoove.
But how did Ursher never shoot a video for my favorite Ursher song of all time?! “Throwback” (prod by Just Blaze). These fake fan-videos are a total travesty.

He owns his lane. You have to respect what he does. Usher is one of the few R & B dudes that puts his real sh*t in his music and makes you want to ride with him.

as a former dancer, i only bring this up because i was coincidentally talking about it with a friend the other day, but “pop-locking” is a complete misnomer. popping and locking are two entirely separate dances.
in simple terms:
popping = turbo (from the “breakin’” movies)
locking = rerun (from “what’s happening”)
