UPDATE….DIPSET WILL BE ON FLEX TUESDAY NIGHT…WITHOUT JIM JONES

According to both sides of this story….Duke da God, Juelz, Zeke, and the whole Dipset crew will be on Funk Flex tomorrow night (tuesday) solely to promote their new album, “Duke Da God and Cam’ron Presents: Dipset More Than Music 2.”
Jim Jones will not be there to speak on his personal feelings. Cam’ron will not be there because he is still out of town on business…..obviously, everyone wants to know the status of the group and what their reactions are to Jim Jones’ recent statements, but according to Jim Jones, he wants Duke and the rest of the crew to have the platform to promote their project the distraction of this controversy. [Edit: Jim Jones made it clear in a conversation today that he is not retracting or backing away from any of his prior statements. He says he wants to elaborate on them on his own, without the rest of the group. And he says he is making a separate date to see Flex.]
Meanwhile, I also spoke to Cam’ron at length, but he is not releasing any public statements for now. Maybe he doesnt want to give Jimmy any attention. We’ll have to see what the rest of Dipset say when they appear tomorrow, but from what I’ve heard, they will be preparing a unified position….something to the effect of….as in any group, there are disputes, but we will resolve them in private.
UPDATE: Here is tonites Miss Info Celebrity Drama Report on Hot97…sorry if the Dipset guys are holding in the fireworks…but I’m sure alot of their label execs are sighing in relief…as I mentioned in a response to one of the comments down below…I’m very sure the back and forth grievances will all come to light sooner than later…

I dont know how to take this, it just doesn’t seem official. A big diversion is what it looks like. Jim Jones gets beat up a couple weeks ago and robbed allegedly numerous times by Tru Life crew, then Cam gets punched in front of a hundred people. One question how the hell do these niggas keep gettin’ terrorized by Tru Life when on all the dvds its lke 50 sumthin gang members and shit round these niggas?????!!@@@!???!!!!!

What kind of Bitchmade shit is this??? The reason I fucked wit the Dips is that they wasnt on that Bullshit publicity stunt m.o. that they shit on 50 for, but this takes the cake. It was also funny how Miss info was doubting that Tru Life SLAPPED FIYA out of Cam, but she doesnt find this breakup to make up the slight bit suspicious. I never thought Id say it but Im done wit these clowns.

yeah its wack to us because we want them to air each other out in public, but not airing out dirty laundry makes much better business sense…i guess cooler heads are prevailing in private and telling these guys to resolve (or try to resolve) their disputes one on one.
The timing (with a new album coming this week) seemed suspect to me at first, but after talking to all the involved, and realizing that there really has been NO productive communication between Jimmy and Cam for a long long time….I realize, its not a stunt. Its just feelings that have been brewing behind the scenes for a while. There have been numerous signs that I’m sure someone else can list…
The bottom line is, there is more that is happening behind the scenes than in front of it. It’ll all come to light sooner or later…
One other thing…I didnt say I doubt that Tru Life did what he claimed he did. I simply stated his side and Cam’s side. I also pointed out that the two sides dont match. I know y’all (well, some) are smart enough to make your own decision.

No, you didnt say you doubted Tru Lifes side but if you read it the slant was OBVIOUS. You being a “journalist” know exactly how much the author can affect peoples impressions. You didnt even point out that there were two conflicting reports coming from Cams side in that one Tru Life just shouted and in the other he swung and missed and Cam tried to get at him. Also, whats up with this “Cams out of town”. Rappers are out of town 24/7, when has this Nigga NOT been able to get to a phone to promote some shit or address something. I respected when he got at Nas in like a day!ha Youre response sounds like its coming from a publicist, not even undercover. Well I personally am not a fan of the Dipset or any of the birds. I find this not being a publicity stunt. It might be but I don’t think it is. This ish sounds real for once. As for this particular story…I dont make things up like some folks do, so, I cant make this more interesting or more relevant or more rational, lol. These rappers are nutty…it is what it is. I dont have anything to do with the timing, whether it deflects attention from the fight, or focuses attention towards the album. And I cant force them to say things “on the record,” or air things out in public….but I say “it’ll all come to light” because in my experience, it always does eventually.
But i will say that I really dont think its a publicity ploy for the album. I could be wrong but….I really dont think it is. And I didnt mention the album in the beginning because…well, err, I dont pay attention to every single mixtape release, there’s so many of them, lol. I only realized thats why Duke was coming to Flex when Jimmy pointed it out.
Anyways, I def feel you on your cynicism and irritation….I’ve had nothing but headaches since sat, lol.

Just for the record but I’m up here in Canada and the album already came out on like the 2nd of may or so, so this is a lil late and I don’t see how the group breakin up would sell more records then them jus promoting so I am really confused but I did notice cam is only on 1 track alone on the whole album but in till Wu tang comes back its still dipset all day

The only thing I am thinking about is how it will effect the branding of the Dipset name. The money is in the name, not the artist exactly. Some artist bring more money to the name then others but its all about the Dipset Brand. I think 90% of their music is trash but they put that name in your head…Dipset’s branding game is sick. Will a split mean a new stratup for somebody? That what I can’t wait to see.

the beef is real.. but its not on any IM GONNA KILL YOU, YOUR MOMS, YOUR MOMS MOMS etc. type shit… i mean look at camron, he had 1 album (and a movie), it did “alright” in the long run, but hes got about 40lbs of new ice, new lambroghinis according to anderson cooper, and a whoooole lotta time on his hands… you see him riding around harlem on dirt bikes and shit.. it just doesnt make sense.. and im sure alotta dip heads were in the dark about this, cause the only way they would know is if they paid close attention to their bottom line. understand, camron isnt taking money out of dipset’s pockets (other than jimmy’s a&r for warner brothers check), hes spending their promotional money. cam needs to realize that their company aint ballin enough for him to splurge on whatever he wants.. and its family, so he SHOULD respect that… we’ll see…

I had a feeling that his scheduled appearance on Flex’s show would be cancelled. Him going on radio discussing his problems with Camron so early on in the day seemed too good to be true.
