Universal Music has announced a new campaign called Respect The Classics, which will see them re-issue and re-master a selection of classic hip-hop albums from the ’80s, ’90s and ’00s. Included in this list are releases from Eminem, 2Pac, Kanye West, Lil Wayne and 50 Cent, whose Get Rich or Die Tryin’ will receive a 10-year anniversary platinum vinyl edition. This gives hip-hop heads a great opportunity to revisit their favorite albums, or for younger fans, to discover the joy of breaking the packaging, studying the booklet and actually holding the album in your hands (crazy thought, right?).
