Tyler, The Creator & Earl Sweatshirt Reunite at Final Low End Theory In L.A.

After more than a decade in business, Low End Theory — the influential L.A. club night that helped launched the careers of Flying Lotus, Nosaj Thing, TOKiMONSTA and many more — put on its final show in L.A. last night. Thanks to a surprise mini Odd Future reunion, it went out with a bang.
Tyler, The Creator and Earl Sweatshirt performed early OF favorites like “Orange Juice,” “Sandwitches” and “Rella” while Syd and Hodgy Beats (who, three years ago, called Tyler a “fraud“) also hit the stage. During his appearance, Tyler reflected on his first time performing at Low End Theory back when Odd Future were still building their buzz. The $500 Daddy Kev paid him was the most money he’d ever seen at that point, he said.
It’s not like Odd Future officially broke up — since dropping OF Tape Vol. 2 in 2012, they kinda just went their own ways creatively — but it’s still good to see (some of) the gang back together again, if only for one memorable night.
