So, as you may have heard, Drake broke the Internet last night by releasing a brand new mixtape, If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late. The blistering, 17-track effort contains some of Aubrey’s most aggresive rhymes to date, including a scathing shot at Young Money rival Tyga on the closing track, “6PM In New York.”
I heard a lil lil homie talking reckless in VIBE/Quite a platform you chose, you shoulda kept it inside/Oh you tried, it’s so childish calling my name on the world stage/You need to act your age and not your girl’s age.
Read Tyga’s response below…
It didn’t take long for Tyga to catch wind of the song, who replied to Drake on Twitter shortly after the tape’s release by inviting him to “pull up” and catch the fade that he’s supposedly been avoiding from Chris Brown. Tyga soon deleted the tweet, though. Oh, the irony.
Tyga and Drake might not be Cash Money label mates for much longer, though: If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late was released on iTunes under Cash Money Records, which would therefore fulfill his four-album contract with the label, opening the door for him to either shop for a new deal or go independent (if Wayne’s situation is anything to go by).
Meanwhile, Tyga announced he’ll be releasing The Gold Album independently, and it doesn’t look like his relationship with Birdman has improved since his outburst back in October.
