After years of to-ing and fro-ing, the long-awaited Tupac biopic All Eyez On Me is officially a wrap. The project finished shooting in Las Vegas earlier this month and is currently in the editing process before it hits theaters this fall (fingers crossed). With our first look at the hotly anticipated flick, which was directed by music video extraordinaire Benny Boom, here’s some quick footage of lead actor Demetrius Shipp Jr. reenacting ‘Pac’s infamous courthouse interview from 1994.
In other news, All Eyez On Me‘s reenactment of Tupac’s death in Las Vegas apparently drew a crowd of reporters and on-lookers who mistook the scene for a real life murder. According to TMZ, “local reporters actually rushed to the scene during filming, mistaking the blanks for real gunshots.”
All Eyez On Me is slated for release this November — shortly after the 20th anniversary of Tupac’s death.
