Jesse Gissen at XXLmag.com sent over this story they posted…which is fascinating from a psychoanalytical standpoint….lots of issues being worked out here via these quotes:

I was just Latin, but when that folded it was easy, they just moved me over to Roc-A-Fella. I’m a smart business man so when I found out Jay-Z was gonna leave – cause I got the heads up, cause that’s my big homie – I didn’t wanna stay there either at Def Jam.”
“As far as Def Jam is concerned, I didn’t wanna be in an upside down situation,” Tru continued. “I had seven deals on the table before I took that deal and I only took it because of Jay-Z. So I felt like if he’s leaving, I wanna leave too…It was also in my contract that if they didn’t put out my album, they had to give me $300,000. So being the smart businessman that I am I took that $300K, they did it under the radar so nobody really knew, but I been was off of Def Jam for a while. We did it before Jay-Z actually left. I left Def Jam, but I’m still with Roc-A-Fella, I’m still with Jay-Z. Me and Jay was just out in Vegas balling out, spending stacks. You can ask Jay.”

Hi, that is actually true. According to a Def Jam source on mediatakeout.com, that’s what happened. In fact, all of the people from Roc-fella were told to leave because Jay is leaving Def-Jam and the label is no longer on Def Jam. Jadakiss is the only guy on Def Jam from Rocafella.

This what down bro. after jay release blueprint 3 february he is moving roc-a-fella to Live Nation. Live Nation is label that signed him for that $150 million dollar deal. Blueprint 3 is the last record he will release on def jam. after he release that record Bleek, Sigel, Uncle Murda, Tru-Life and Freeway will be the only artist from the Roc be signed to Live Nation. Kiss and Kanye are staying on Def Jam because they still have a recording contract with Def Jam.

Bleek isn’t going to Live nation and neither Beans. Bleek already came out and said Jay is allowing him to do his own thing.
I don’t think Murda is going either because on his new music he won’t even mention the Roc. He says GMG/Manhood/Violator
And according to Young Chris, Rocafella artists are him, Jay, Kanye and Jada.

That whole Roc-A-Fella folding was some shady stuff for everyone involved…Other than Kanye and ‘Kiss, no one really knows what happened to those other guys… But sure enough still see Young Chris and Freeway throwing that diamond up at their performances.. A homegurl if mine from Staten Isle showed me a recent pic with Tru at the studio and told me a few things.I can at least say he’s not hurting financially.But all that video “ballin’”?…….no comment.Truthfully speaking he seems to have done better then many others who have dealt with Jay.

I dont feel the silly video he made, but I think many people are grossly uunderestimating tru life’s talent. Sure he’s a wildin tough guy but peep the work he did with the Ghetto Inmates way back, or “I hate rap” or any number of tracks he did with other artists like the outlawz, bone etc.
In fact, I think he shined on the prodigy song with Kool G Rap.
I think all the tough talk here is typical. Everyone loves to shit on the dude who’s low. Its the new thing to shit on anyone who’s “album wont be released” and so forth. Funny thing, most of your favorite rappers from yesteryear would never have released an album in this environment. None of that golden era hip hop. None of that shit. So listen to some of his music, its better than almost any new artist – if there is such a thing anymore.
