Music’s biggest stars have all converged at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California this weekend for the 2017 Coachella Music & Arts Festival. Day 1 on Friday kicked off with artists like Radiohead, D.R.A.M., Sampha, Phantogram, The xx, and Dillon Francis. Fresh off the release of his Gang Signs & Prayer debut album, Stormzy opened the three-day event as the first performer on the Outdoor Stage. The British MC did tracks like “Big For Your Boots,” “Shut Up” and his remix of Ed Sheeran’s “Shape Of You.”

Over at the Sahara Tent, Mac Miller brought a mix of high energy and soul to his set. The Pittsburgh rapper ran through cuts off his latest album The Divine Feminine, plus popular underground cuts. Tracks like “Cinderella,” “100 Grandkids,” “Dang!,” “Diablo,” and “Weekend” were performed for the live crowd.

The moment of the first day easily came towards the end of the night, by G.O.O.D. Music’s own Travi$ Scott. Making his Coachella debut, the Houston rapper/producer wasted no time during a chaotic set that included tracks like “Mamacita,” “Drugs You Should Try It,” and “Upper Echelon.” Recent hits like “Antidote” and “Goosebumps” were also done, as La Flame was backed by an enormous animatronic bird.
