First off this is in response to what was left on the board. God does things to us to humble us. When u steal from people and take advantage of them its hard to undo what u did. Tragedy is exactly that. a tragedy. This socalled revolutionary is a thief,con man and two bit nickle and dime nigga and he is getting what he deserves. He sheisted a lot of street niggas and hard working class people out of money using his rep and he got what is coming to him. Reusing verses and stealing show money is not something a real mcee does and I don’t respect those weak tactics from someone who I thought was so “deep”. I wouldn’t wish jail on my worst enemy but karma is a bitch! I as well as many others have been looking for this bum to repay what he STOLE and I guess thats a wrap for now. Goes to show that you will pay what u owe one way or the other. I hope the best for him regardless cuz jail ain’t no place for any black man but while he is sittin it down I hope he reflects on the last years and gets some understanding or some sense either way the streets aint that safe for him after all that dirt was done so he is probably better off right now…

Tragedy is my Brother, not my PR client (although I’m sure that’s easily misconstrued). I have been close to him for 11 years. Since the information about his arrest is “public information” and the rumours were flying, I hit up a few people in the industry to let them know what was up.

At this time, thank God, he is NOT being labeled a predicate felon. For anyone who is in the streets, they know that a class C is nothing, and that a ZERO to FOUR year sentence means that with the overcapacity of NY’s penal system, and access to programs like work release and educational programs, he may be home in months and not years.

His family is concerned that after this incarceration the State of NY will try to put him in a classification of “predicate felon” which is just another stick for the NYPD to beat you with, just another bullet for their 41 shots.

The truth is that Tragedy is not a gangster rapper from Queensbridge, the largest housing project in the world. The truth is that he is a recording artist, producer, and songwriter who has been in the music business since his early teens.

The truth is that he has also been an influential and powerful player behind-the-scenes, from his work in A&R alongside Faith Newman many years ago, to his A&R/Executive production of the Capone-N-Noreaga LP “Still Reporting”, and the owner of record labels and entertainment companies spanning decades.

Furthermore he is a mentor, having taken countless young people under his wing. He takes those who are the least fortunate and the most troubled, spends the time to build with them and assess their strengths, and gives them the tools and opportunities to build them.
