Coming up over the years as a part of the Save Money crew with the likes of Vic Mensa and Chance the Rapper, it’s now Towkio’s time to shine. The Chicago native brings music lovers into his world with his WWW. debut album. Lead by the singles “Hot Shit,” “Drift” and “Symphony,” the album was first debuted in outer space on Wednesday (Feb. 21), where Towkio played the project 100,000 feet in the air from a helium balloon.

I’m going to be the first rapper—the first artist—to go to space,” Towkio told DJ Booth. “I’m gonna drop my album and listen to it from space. I’m not scared because if I’m not supposed to be here, He would’ve got rid of me already. I have no fear in my heart. This is my legacy. Even though it’s a small fragment in the timeline of the earth, it’ll still be one to inspire change. If I can inspire one person, that’s it, but I’m inspiring the whole planet.” Vic Mensa, SZA, Njomza, Teddy Jackson and Grace Weber all make guest appearances on WWW., out now via Rick Rubin’s American Recordings label.
